And put some bondo in the sidewall cracks, and it would be fine...

Now that would look COOL towed behind my 345!
Ok,
Now I went back and re-sized the photo. Yes, I can see that it's the lampshade as well. Must be honest, not too thrilled with the paint job on that 345 though. Just my opinion though. As for the trailer, YES, it would be quite a sight to see an Airstream Classic motorhome towing an Airstream trailer behind it!
Thanks, Derek

Hey Key,

Rather than leave a note, why don't you just grab an extension cord, and wander over there with your buffer. I'm sure that would get you an introduction.

Charly

We need some silicon valley types with deep pockets and a aircraft hanger in the Southwest to start buying these coaches up and restoring/ parting them out. He/She will make far more from us than any sort of internet IPO would.

There is a 345 that has been sitting next to a barn near me for years. Dont know the year or condition and I've often thought of going up and knocking on the door to see see if they were interesting in getting rid of it. I was thinking about doing a rear engine conversion with something newer from a salvage auction. I don't really have a good place to do the work so I started looking for a 94 or 95 classic pusher project. I found one that in very nice condition and spent way more than I origionally planned. I think it turned out to be the right thing to do as we've already done 3 trips and about 5K miles. (since August!)

You really have to wonder about the market place after seeing that 1989 345LE in Vegas just sell for $9000.00 on ebay. That rig had 30K miles on a replacement motor, and 3K on a tranny rebuild, and looked damn nice other than having seen too much sun.
If I lived in SoCal, I'd be a two moho owner today.

Its frustrating to look at the classifieds in a declining economy! To put it in perspective just think of buying a new $200K coach and watching it depreciate over $50K just for driving it off the lot.

The invoice on my 95 was $166K. I paid $36K for it after a long search and alot of research. A few weeks later one pops up in the classifieds on this site for $27K.

In the past I've made money on classic vehicles, boats, and airplanes. Sometime you're the fly, sometimes your're windshield.
