NOW I'm jealous!!!
Here's my "Baby". She's got just over 300,000 miles on her, and still ticking like a Singer. I've had her for 6 years now. She's the 115Th Audi V8 ever built (VIN# #######000115), and she has a few "interesting" differences from the one I had before (that I totaled), which was #5223 built. She is "Indigo Blue", with original grey leather interior - but I had all the top-edge stuff replaced with black from a donor car - the dash, steering wheel and column, window sills, and "hat-shelf" (the flat part in the rear window - what is that referred to in this country? Octane - you know what I'm saying, right?).
247HP @ 5,800 RPM, 251FtLb @ 4,000 RPM, full-time All Wheel Drive with rear-wheel bias, 4-Sp Auto (unfortunately - would have liked the 5-, or 6-Sp Manual) with 3 switchable modes, all leather interior, everything power, 3,744Lbs curb weight.
She's really fun to drive!

That's a small version'ish of what I had in mind when I first got on here - with the 345 towing a 31' - 34' AS trailer, modified to conceal my Jeep inside - but I was going to do barn-doors on the rear instead of the hatch-style.
Kind of cool to see what it might have looked like.

So - maybe there's a market for AS TT Toy-Hauler conversions here...
If enough people are interested, I'll start building!
Who wants one?

I want one and the one in the picture appears to be about the size I am looking for. I am using a 6X12 trailer now and that's big enough, a little wider wouldn't hurt with two Harleys but the 12 foot length allows me to stagger them by two feet so the handlebars aren't touching each other.

"Cars" you say ?
Ohhhhh yes: I've had and worked on some pretty nice ones
like a Citroën DS ,
and a Jaguar XJ
and ( snif, snif ) an E-type
...it can still make me tear up thinking about
how I had to sell that one at a rock-bottom price
because I was in desperate need of money.
Goodness: hand me a Klenex right now, please !!!

Well - in that case, it's just a matter of me finding a place to land, and then let's decide whether everyone will supply their own trailer for conversion at first, or just set up a budget and start writing checks as I locate the proper trailer and go to work...
Go ahead - pick a number, and start lining up. As soon as I am done with my litte 1978 Dodge Sportsman 21' Class-C Mobile Traveler, and we've been to Rainbow Gathering and on to Michigan to see my boys, it's on!
Who's first in line?
Whomever is serious about this, PM me with your off-forum contact info, and let's talk turkey.

Jeps... Hattehylden.
Thanks!
A DS you say? 19 or 21?
I always liked the CX and the SM, but those DS 21s were an amazing car - so far advanced for its day. I liked the 21 better than the 19 because of the dual headlights.

Having now realized that I'm in the midst of a bunch of like-minded, crazed bikers and car junkies masquerading as decent Airstreamers, I guess I can confess as well.
Eventually, I'll be able to secretly carry all of the two wheeled stuff around in the eight wheeled thing, without anyone knowing about it. (In the mean time, I've been quietly moving them around in the other two wheeled thing.) It'll be like bringing the Trojan horse into the Alumapalooza.

I just now realize that you're the guy who made that aaaaabsoooooluuuuuteeeely beautiful dash
; I've stared long and hard on that,
having in mind to do a new dash for my Argosy.
A Bimota !!!! WOW !!!
...and what's that big-footed monstrous thing in the front ?
Some kind of S&S Evo/Twin Cam , Super G carb-, engined dragster or.......?

Mine was a 19 but WITH the dual headlights
with one pair turning as one turned the steering wheel.
A fan-tas-tic car, and again: one I had to sell as I was in money-need.
I've had 3 CX'es . Just flipping brilliant flying carpets.
Here's the last one I had, next to my late sixties Danish build MKP camping trailer
..that I rebuild
See Streamquest; I do like the 'engine turning' finish:
When I win the lottery I'll go get a SM.
