Steve, would you share parts numbers for the vented pads, as well as other supplies you received from Caswell Plating? After reading all of DarkSpeed's posts, this stuff looks like it's the best so far.
Thanks, Derek
As posted over in my thread in the polishing section...
Darn it, those trailer peeps infected me...
Had to stop for today, based on the odd noises and smells coming from my HF Buffer!
Off to get a warrantee replacement tomorrow... to be fair, I have been leaning on it good!
The whole rear corner is now buffed out to Level 2.. which is plenty good for now.
I did a cut with G6, and then one with the new A Nuvite, then Blue magic for fun... I will do the blue magic with the Cyclo next time, as I could not stop it streaking buffing by hand..
Stripped the bulk of the old sealant out of the rear, and side bedroom windows and off the upper marker lamps.
Put on the new Plate lamp.
Pulled out the Drivers side tail lamp, and cleaned the housing and resealed it against the skin, in case there is a leak there..
.
This is how it looks today... I have done the upper panel with G6, but nothing more yet, as you can maybe see... I have some issues with the joint, and I want to do a little panel beating on it before I go further..
I have this dent to "Pop" out, and I think it will..
I'm looking for a good cartoon of 31ft Airstream/1982. I'm going make a decal and add to it the name I call my MoHo "Old Gertrude". Put one on the front and back. Sorry I cut-in on your Thread, But I had to ask for help!! falsetto@silverlink.net

Maybe you could get Old Gert to primp-n-pose, take her snap, and photoshop her into a personal sort of picture pride...mike

Old Gert did posed She was to good looking!! I want some thing that not that good looking on my decal. But thanks for your idea. If I can't get a good cartoon of her, I'll use her
I've 'camped' in back yard several times since purchase, August 29, 2011, but never have actually backed into a site, and plugged in.
This past weekend 1st ever trip. 'Discovered' a few problems, plumbing leak in kitchen area under the sink. Shower water control spewed more water around control handle than out of shower head practically. Of course with plumbing leak, no hooking to city water supply.
But, BOTH heat strips in A/C units work, hot water heater works. Never had to run either heater, so no idea on those yet.
Still, I had the time of my life in my Airstream. And YES, had to give the 'tour' more than once over the weekend. All conversations started "I never knew Airstream made a MOTORHOME!" lol

Derek, congrats on getting her out for her maiden voyage! I bet you enjoyed giving the tours!

Most of you know of the famous aircraft company up in Seattle. We were crossing the border from B.C. one time and the border guard said to me, "I did not know Boeing made motorhomes."
Steve,
In your case, you'll have to be more specific...number your projects so we will know WHICH one yer talking about...
