Myrtle lynn, you thinking that the tranny just crapped out all together? Believe mine needs a good flush and fluid change. Guess I need to get it done before any long distance trips.
Great pix, lucky you had the Jeep along.
Thanks, Derek

So that can be Sweet P (for Pea or Paula) or Suite P......the license will be 82 Ste P.......right now she is at a truck mechanic getting a manifold, radiator, differential service, tires, etc......so she can be smogged in CA and become legal.....after that, I am sure she will make a visit to Uwe in Orange......he doesn't work on the truck Chevy 454 7.4 L P30 chassis.....although I am sure he could, but Uwe doesn't have the equipment at his current shop. p

And I was thinking it was a picture of camping in Australia.

That Turbo 400 hydromatic looks miniscule compared to the Allison in mine. Do they tend to fail?

That's really a pretty beefy transmission, I'm on my third ( the second was a mechanic screw-up where the line from the forward oil cooler line chaffed and leaked the fluid .) My current trans was "hot-rodded" by a old pro where he was able to use some Allison parts. My shift points are perfect now.
