I really like the dark gray/black against the polished alum. Really sharp looking!

Driving through Yosemite Valley in March 1991 with mom and dad. MH has it's original colors. I will have to try to duplicate the photo this week on my Yosemite trip.

This is the most I have of my dad and airstream. I am the little boy in these. They were taken in the 70's

Dadstoy and Myrtle lynn,

Those are some sweet memories to cherish.

As I tinker with my moho and a few much older trailers that I've collected (''48 CW, 49 Spartan, '52 Silver Streak), I'm reminded of how closely connected these old trailers are to some pretty incredible moments in the history of America. I often think about the people that may have built them, or owned them, and the lives they lead, and the places they went, and the likelihood that many of them are long gone. So even though we may hold the titles to these old aluminum relics at the moment, we are really just temporary custodians, and they will outlast us all.

With more rain expected at the end of this week, I wanted to get the old sealer stripped off the windows and upper marker lamps, so I can reseal them. I need to polish those areas before I put down a bead of sealant tho..
The drips need to be stopped before I put down the new floor section in the bedroom.

Having read what Darkspeed used over in the polishing section, and with an eye to experimentation, and a need to get into corners that the buffer could not...

From Caswell plating..
2 X 10" Vented Pads
2 X 4" Pads for tight areas
2 X Jumbo Black Coarse Bars
1 X Jumbo White fine Bar
1 X Adapter for using the pads on angle grinders and buffers.

Also my G6 and S Nuvite arrived along with a New Number Plate light and frame... The old one was too far gone rusted!

Here is the vented pad mounted on the adapter ready for the first test...

My first try with the Vented Pad kinda scared me... it looked like it was scratching the surface, but after a wipe down and a swap to a fresh pad, and the white bar, I was impressed..

I also found a small bottle of "Blue Magic", which I tried, but I think I need to buff down finer first..

I was slowed down by some stubborn paint and clearcoat, and by the time I had made progress along the upper skin, and quadrant, it was almost dark..

Could not resist these shots of the rear corner tho!

As posted over in my thread in the polishing section...
Darn it, those trailer peeps infected me...

Had to stop for today, based on the odd noises and smells coming from my HF Buffer!
Off to get a warrantee replacement tomorrow... to be fair, I have been leaning on it good!

The whole rear corner is now buffed out to Level 2.. which is plenty good for now.
I did a cut with G6, and then one with the new A Nuvite, then Blue magic for fun... I will do the blue magic with the Cyclo next time, as I could not stop it streaking buffing by hand..

Stripped the bulk of the old sealant out of the rear, and side bedroom windows and off the upper marker lamps.
Put on the new Plate lamp.
Pulled out the Drivers side tail lamp, and cleaned the housing and resealed it against the skin, in case there is a leak there..
.
This is how it looks today... I have done the upper panel with G6, but nothing more yet, as you can maybe see... I have some issues with the joint, and I want to do a little panel beating on it before I go further..

I have this dent to "Pop" out, and I think it will..

Steve, it looks AWESOME! Going camping this 3 day weekend, otherwise I'd be out with Nuvite, ladder and buffers. Think after almost 2 months of sitting in my driveway, it's time.
I'll post pix as I go.
Thanks, Derek
