to those who say this thread has been hijacked, might I suggest you post a picture or two of a Classic Airstream so we get back on track?
Thanks, Derek

I'm not sure that I want to sign onto THAT thread, but thanks for the best laugh of the year!

Spot polishing and protecting that nice stripe is gonna be more work than actually doing the polish job Derek!
I tried the Citrus stripper, and found it ok, but slow... went back to my Spra-strip.

As far as the "Orange Peel" surface on the curved sections goes... Can someone tell me if there is "Aluclad" Coating on the skins of 80's M/H's?
Key, I believe that aircraft grade .032 Alclad was used up until the early 80's, at which point they changed to a softer (weaker) but thicker (.040) alloy. As I'm sure you know, the Alclad has a thin coating of pure, soft aluminum on the surface (and a stronger, thinner alloy core) which is why it polishes up to that true mirror finish. We don't have that on our mohos, so will will never be able to achieve the equivalent mirror effect.

Ok. Did some more polishing. Using blue magic. My new friend. I know. I know. I say this every time I find something new. Keep in mind already did hard stuff last year. Wow! A year? This blue magic has been awesome. Here is a pic. I don't have any orange peel on my end caps. Guess i am lucky 😃.

As I've said before, I hate you guys. We're bailing out tomorrow looking at going into a big snowstorm and wind after the coach was waxed in Flagstaff. Oh, well.

Myrtle, I've got the 'Industrial' size of Blue Magic on it's way now, lol. Used the TR-3 of theirs years ago, great stuff, when you can actually find it!
Thanks, Derek

Here is a pic of my 34' 1989 trailer. One pic is of the orange peel , other of the great shine, and some random. Oh and one with moho so i don't get in trouble. :-) Keep in mind this shine is from one step. The orange peel isn't noticed when it's all polished.
