Slipstream...

Saw this in Quartzsite, AZ about 3-4 years ago...it was one of eight AS modifications done by a Canadian outfit(since defunct), and the only one still in motion, according to the owner. It is a 4WD, belt driven(see pic)...mike

Interesting...
So the tag axle is driven by a belt of the dual?
If it was me, I would have lifted the whole thing a little and slipped a solid Dana 60 under the front...

Tag driven, 8WD, to be exact...might be a reason there were only 8 made...?

Seems a little hoakey to me but something like a 28 foot Argosy on a modern diesel 4X4 drivetrain, a little lift...

I'm not sure but think that may have been the original Family Truckster that Chevy Chase was supposed to drive in "Vacation".

I did the paint all myself. I love the truck bed spray paint. It works great. Been using it for years on my different airstreams. It has not chipped or peeled. I did around windows and bottom trim. Thanks. Oh like any other paint job, the better you prep surface the better it looks and lasts.

So, do the steroids go into the fuel tank, or the owner...? The driver's door looks a little light on the upper hinges...

When I first looked I thought it was a converted Airstream...
But now looking again, am I right to say its a ground up new construction?
