Top hose G16C84 The top hose doesn't say GM .Maybe Gates?
Hope this helps.

Hi Jo. Thanks. That's the same number I have for the bottom hose, but have a different number for the top. The number I have for the top is 6259953. That's just a number I found on line, I don't know what I actually have. My MH is stored at my vacation property in the mountains...I want to try to get new hoses before I travel up the mountain next week.

Well just got in Orlando FL. It was a rough start. Got 20 miles into drive and had a lot of backfire. I was thinking bad gas. Then continued to drive 300 miles seemed worse. Turned around to get my truck and my 34' AS. Got 10 miles from home and it came to me. I had new plug wires installed. Pulled over got under Moho and yep loose wire. Continued to drive home to make sure. Nope still backfire. :-( I was determined.. Got back out and 2 more loose. A total of 3 wires not connected. :-( we turned back around headed south :-) put us 6 hrs behind. Oh well! She is running great now. We will make it to Fort Lauderdale by 6:30 am. Take a few hour nap, pick up our friends and keep going. I am ready for a cocktail!! So I am able to post this because I am in pass seat riding:-) I am giving driving lessons to my friend. He is doing great!! I am so impressed. I can actually walk in the back see how she rides. It's quiet and smooth... Very nice. Not quite ready to lay down till he gets a few more hours under his belt. :-)

Myrtle Lynn, glad you found the problem. Those darn plug wires are hard to get on and even harder to get off! Have a great trip.

I almost hate to share this since I am still tempted to buy it in spite of the fact that it probably won't fit... There is a motorhome jacket on eBay right now though size medium for $49.95 or best offer. FYI if you offer $40 it will be instantly declined

Too small for me too! Oh well, maybe I'll find a jacket I like, take a photo of my Classic to an embroidery shop and go from there instead. Know that CafePress offers t-shirts and sweatshirts with the Airstream Classic motorhome on them.....
Thanks, Derek

The four classic motorhomes here at Top of Georgia Airstream Park in Helen, Georgia. Mine (with the H-D next to it) and three others are here right now. This is the largest number of classics I've seen in one place aside from rallies.

The first one in the above post has not moved since I started going to TOG 4-5 years ago.

The third one belongs to friends of mine who use it there year round.

The fourth one was taken back to the Airstream factory a few years ago for a refurbishment, including new paint and a rebuilt engine and transmission. It has been to Alaska twice and the owner has been a member at TOG for 30 years (I believe). I also believe he bought it new.

Hello from the Keys! It is beautiful here. If the plug wires were not enough. Made it to Fort Lauderdale at 6 am slept few hours and was driving 10 miles into picking up my friends she started to over heat. Pulled over on a side street and after a few minutes I saw it was a 4" hose off water pump under everything. I had all hoses replaced too! So I thought. I think it was new one, but wasn't on all the way. Right on top of the engine. Called mobile unit out @ 11:43 am since I didn't have a full line of tools with me. He ended up getting to me at 10 pm. :-( :-( around 4 we had moved to truck stop 595. They were closing and couldn't get us in until Sunday at 12. Got back up and running at 12am. Made it into the keys at 4am. Checked in at resort @9am. What a trip! Staying a day longer. :-) after talking to people with 2011 provost that broke down on way here I didn't feel so bad. I know a lot of maintenance comes with this. I also know I have had more than my share of maintenance done to it. Oh well she still made it and we have been having a blast. Posting pics soon as I get on computer to renew forum membership.

Myrtle Lynn,

It reminds me of that old saying.... If it wasn't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all. Don't you wish these problems would show up closer to home? Glad you made it through another battle. You should be re-named "The Road Warrior". Enjoy that sunshine!!!

On way back to Athens GA. Stated over in West Palm. I have my buddy driving again. I want to enjoy the ride as much as the drive. No mechanical issues, as it should be. :-) Great weather moving along smooth. Now if I can only fill up with gas without having to give tours every time. :-) :-) ( love doing it) think I am going to posta sign on side with.... engine size, length, year , how many are still on the road, where I found it, how many miles on it, (62k) and how long I had it, should make things go quicker. Lol. It's a great thing!! See ya in Athens. Post pics soon.

I like to always look on the bright side...
Everytime something goes wrong, you fix it and learn.
That way, you strike this stuff off the list of stuff that needs to be done!
