While I think of it I'm looking for 3 of the cast aluminum clearance light mounts. I'm planning a little experiment. Doesn't matter which mounting position. If anyone has 3 of them they would part with let me know. Thanks.

I need some storage compartment doors for my 1994 360 classic motor home. If anyone knows of a 360 being parted out, please let me know.

Sorry to revive an older thread but I'm wanting to finally repair the two left lower segments of the rear endcap of my 28' classic motorhome. Being in Canada there are limited options for used parts, let alone new parts.
Ideally I would like used panels to match the patina of the rest of the motorhome and hopefully be a reduced cost. Also from what I've read when the decision comes to polish out the aluminum is simpler and has better results.
Does any one know of any airstream salvage yards or airstream motorhomes being parted out from Arizona on up the pacific coast as I have a family member traveling in the states at the moment.

Having replaced the panels in question, I would never attempt this job using used panels. The job is difficult enough with new panels. If you do it yourself, consider leaving the window in place and slipping the new panels under the window after carefully fitting the panel. This will save you from another slew of issues.
Shipping is another issue. It would be best to have them shipped to a local dealer and inspect them before accepting them. If they get shipped to your house, have the delivery person wait until you inspect them. Do not accept a closed box.

When your repair was made did you use olympic rivets from the outside or did you pull off the interior panels and use new buck rivets?

Your Motorhome interior was built from the rear forward. Good luck with getting to the interior to use buck rivets.
I used Olympic Rivets without a washer, since the washers will disintegrate over time, whereas vulkem used properly is permanent.
Others may disagree with using olympic rivets, but in my experience the key to success is cleanliness:
1.Complete all fitting and drilling with the protective sheeting on the new panels.
2.Carefully remove all metal shavings and debris after fitting the panels with clecos
3. Clean the interior of the panels of the oil residue with mineral spirits
4. Don't be shy with the use of Vulkem, but use Masking tape to protect the new panels, since you need to pull the protective sheeting before setting the rivets.
In case you are wondering what it looks like under all the shininess

Steering wheel
Does anyone have any experience with refurbishing the steering wheel? My leather wrap spoke wheel is due.
I'd rather rebuild or replace as it has gone beyond simple recover.
I'm removing it to reduce the turn signal switch and wonder if anyone has ideas.
Thanks!

Steering Wheel
try Ebay.
search for 9 hole steering wheel.
I've seen them advertised there, 9 hole, 16" diameter.
Let me know if it works, I need one soon too.

steering wheel
Glen,
My 240 is all original. My steering wheel center cap shows VIP and not the airstream logo. My serial number is 001, which might be the reason why it does not have the airstream logo.
Airstream probably used remaining parts from the Argosy line.
Here is the VIP link.

Misc Parts
Just posting the link to seller's ebay store for a 310 being broken down in Utah. I grabbed a side window that I needed. Price was reasonable, and the transaction went smoothly.

Glad to hear you scored some missing parts. I posted this with your "to do" list in mind. Nothing better than working windows!!

Right Rear quarter panel and bumper?
Oops! Had a little fender bender.
I mashed in the bumper in the right rear side and crushed the right rear quarter panel. I thought I was in Park. I wasn't.
Does anyone have the parts? Or can someone reshape the bumper?
I know that Bkahler some time ago was parting out an old 345 which is what I have.
Thanks!
