I agree Peter, and it has also got me thinking. Personally, why do I think that example doesn't work, yet I think almost an identical concept looks amazing???? Maybe to the right person the Sprinter combo appears the same.

Well, I may just be one of the right people. Really like the sprinter combo.
It would look better to me if the truck was also silver.
The skirting around the bottom looks well tied in and seems to add storage.
The connection to the sprinter cab needs a little something, but otherwise I do like it.
Ducking now! Let it fly!

Oh yea, don't like the price so much!
Guess I may not have the right art appreciation.

Cheers Richard

Wow! I agree with you. This green one just exudes class. I'd love to see more pics if you've got 'em. I'm always looking for ideas.

No matter the price, I just didn't like the patched look on an Airstream to a white sprinter chassis, and the single shot of the interior was not too appealing either. This one however intrigues me greatly.

There are a few other threads referencing the green one with links to a lot more pictures. The sprinter combo is butt ugly IMO. I can see the practicality in the design but couldn't imagine anyone paying over $50k for it.

I think it is a 'square peg in a round hole' sort of thing - the outline shapes don't much so to be they don't flow.....same applies the other way around though, there are a few images of curvy VW mini-buses with box trailer backs.

The green cab-over crops up occasionally (was even discussed on the forum a few months ago) but there aren't many images on-line.....it gets better though as it pulls a matching trailer.

Love the 310 description that the exterior stainless steel needs a bit of buffing. Oh and he wants 22 large for a gasser that needs a new engine and transmission.
The 360 seems like a great deal.

Cheers

Interesting layout in the sense that there are no sliding windows in that rig. The only ventilation would be the front drivers, passenger sliders and the very back window. That would be an interesting experience camping in it.

I wonder what the original use was......mobile doctors office???

When he states "Bill of sale only" Does that mean no title or ownership papers?

I'm guessing the reserve is 15K. Mike, you in??

Cheers

Fine with me but I'm paying my share with Monopoly money or Canadian Tire money, take your pick (both probably worth more than the Canadian dollar after the oil bust anyway).

Cheers

Guess what? It's back on eBay.....

Ultra RARE Vintage 1979 Airstream Travel Trailer RV | eBay

Same listing pops up every few months, bids usually reach around $4.5-5K and not reach the reserve, but last time 'sold' at $15K. Now the same seller has it re-listed with the same pictures, and a slightly different description (previously it was a running project now the engine is disconnected).

I am fascinated by the term "rare gem". This looks like about a $50,000 to $100,000 project, depending on who does the work. Maybe someone should find out what the transportation costs are for their area and make an offer to have it removed if the seller pays for transporting....😂😃😉
