On ebay today http://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-Airstream-Motor-Home-Modified-/302271551225
Edit to add, I did not see this mentioned in a earlier post.
Also it claims to be a 30 footer, but it looks like the same external configuration as my 84 270, except for the pinched ass end

That's a problem with this thread, and most research I do. All that comes to light is asking price. In this speculative market, that leaves a lot to be wondered about as far as actual value is concerned.
Not hard to understand that folks like to keep their financial business to themselves. But it sure makes it hard to get on top of the market.
Cheers Richard

I am sure he must have gotten a good price as it was an outstanding example of a 20'.

This little 74 20' Argosy brings back a lot of memories. It looks pretty much exactly like mine did when I got it.
It appears all of the unobtainium bits are still present like the front grille and engine door.
If you're looking for a project......
Brad
Edit: It appears the radiator core and the doghouse cover might be missing. Hard to tell from the pictures.

I think that's the doghouse lent up against the grill. I see a carpeted piece on a compound angle.
Sad to see, but fixable.
Cheers

I did notice a snippet of the radiator frame but it didn't look like the radiator was there. But that doesn't mean it's not. Yep I missed the doghouse cover when I was looking at the pictures earlier.
So other than possibly the engine and transmission most everything seems to be there. I did notice it doesn't seem to have a generator but there seems to be a fuel filler cap in the back center so it might have an auxiliary fuel tank where the generator would have been located.
For someone looking to go through what I've been going through this would be just the ticket...

Anyone that has 2-3000 spare hours (or the money to pay someone else to do 2-3000 hours work), could have a nice little MH!

I bid and won the entire drivers side cockpit window on eBay. It turns out that it doesn't have the slider lock, which is the bit I wanted. It was 50 bucks, which still seems like a good deal. PM me if interested. All best Nick

Speaking of 84's for sale, there is a possibility that mine may be on the market in a few months.
There are some health concerns and if the tests next month confirm them, the 84 may likely out live this 54 chassis keeping me going.
That said, I am wondering what the going rate is on these things?
I wont go into all the details but, it is kept up well, has just over 100K on the chassis, less on the motor and transmission. I did the conversion to TBI and it has 400 watts of solar on the roof.
You can see my web page for all that has been done to upgrade the ZO mobile. http://theouterlimits.ws/projects/airstream/
Again, I wont know much until mid May, I am hoping for good news and then I still have some decisions to make on how to proceed.
Unless I can find someone worthy and offering a reasonable price, I may put it on eBay and take my chances. I sure would rather be driving it for another 10 to 20 years

Classic MoHos For Sale?
Hehe!
I'm not buying it, just sharing a posting that I found. Not buying new rigs.
I've been investing anything that I've got in the Tap Mobile. Trust me Tap is tapped out. Hehe! :-)
