Yep.

All I can see this doing is reducing the number of listings that get shared because folks (me as an example) wont be jumping through the hoops of turning this thread into a archive of motorhomes which were for sale and may have been sold...as you may have guessed I think it is a bad idea!
If you want a listing of archived motorhomes Fred's site View RVs can provide a wealth of information about Airstream motorhomes and trailers.

That is a good point. I guess I should ask Fred if it would be possible to list the selling price if/when he knows it.

That would be handy! Especially if he could add year and month of sale. That would demonstrate the trend of value, and insurance uses the last six months as priority for value determination. Also important to maintain all repairs and at what mileage for insurance negotiation of value. Just sharing for those who do not know.

Had a brief chat with Fred. The problem with listing prices is all sales on his site are private so only the buyer and the seller knows what the sale really amounted to. He does list the original asking price but that's all the information he has available on sold motorhomes.

Here's a blog post of Fred's discussing value.

Looks like they installed a rear door. The pic with the water heater shows a bit of the opening. Man they put some dough-ra-me into this remodel.

My concern is with the super large vent fans on the roof. A lot of weight in a small area and the roofs of the Airstream's aren't really designed to support that much weight in one spot.

Still, it's an interesting conversion.

Likely they put more into the conversion than the current bid.
But I did notice mention of no engine in it, so probably not too much load on those vent fans.
I never thought Id say this, but that makes the ACs seem almost sleek.

Probably a good starting point for someone wanting a lunch truck.

I'd imagine a new engine would cost less than those commercial appliances.

I've heard that Mike and Lynn have some free time on there hands and may be looking for a project.

Cheers Richard

It would be nice to bring along to the "Classic motor home get-togethers". I wonder what kind of noise the exhaust fans make while you're driving down the road ??? Regards, Bob

Thats an easy fix, just 1 trip to new Mexico would take care of it. (Yes, it has been posted before, but for some reason I can't stop watching it, just wait for Tony's response at 1:08min on this one )

Another 28 foot diesel, from Sacramento Craigslist. Good price, but it looks to have body damage on most if not all corners:

Yes, Steven, that is my 310. Don't asked why, that's just what I do. When they are close to perfect, I consider selling them. Brad questioned my sanity before on this subject.

A very nice coach Peter and I'm sure the new owner will be happy you were the PO. Just do to the prospective buyer what my PO did to me when I pulled out the dipstick to check the oil. I'm holding this yard plus dipstick and he looks at me with a quizzical look in his eye and says, "what's that?".

If the prospective owner needs references to your expertise with anything AS, don't hesitate to send them our way and we'll set them straight.

PS Very reasonable price if you ask me. Are you now looking for a turbo diesel?

Also, just checking, 4K generator, not 6 or 6.5K?

Cheers
Tony
