Tony! You found a 310! I've always liked only two axles.

It is definitely a scam. I posted that one a few back after I had found a similar posting in that area using pictures of Brad's 20 footer. They both have the same prices and lack of description so it is probably someone just trying to scam people.

Send them a reply like this: I am very much being interested in you Recessitational Vehicle. I will send you a cashiers check for $15,000 US dollars. You can deposit the check and wire me back balance to pay my private shipper to pick it up as soon as I get the shipping fee back.
Or use an old email address, like one I have that gets inundated with spam, and tell them you are in Ventura and would like to come up to see it.

Ive always had the impression that if these scams didnt occasionally work then the scammers wouldnt bother to do it. Which begs the question, who in their right mind would fall for some of these? Especially with an RV. Head scratcher

I ask the same question. Just yesterday my sister was in a rush to borrow $10k to buy a 97 Jeep for her sons 16th birthday. A "friend" was selling it for $12k but would let her have it for only $10k. Pristine condition, loaded, and only 64,000 miles.
Apparently, "pristine" in Michigan means rust bubbles on the rocker panels that you can't poke your finger through.

Looks nice from the one picture they supplied. I would be interested to see more if anyone talks to the seller.

I guess, because the purpose of the thread is to show units currently for sale, not to be an archive of the ones that have sold? Once the ads expire they are no longer for sale and out of the scope of the thread.

I'm with Randy on this point as numerous times my browser times out trying to find the ad on CL and goes to page not found or server not found. Even if I google poignant words of the ad, like 20' Argosy Spokane Washington Craigslist doesn't mean I find it.
Cheers
Tony

It would be worth posting pics and prices for future appraisal work.

Okay, here's a try at inserting an image. A 310 in Portland, apparently a Ford 7.3 diesel transplant that has been seen here before in worse shape.

I think this illustrates why I don't think it is realistic; If you aren't going to simply link the person sharing has to
1) Save the photo from the listing
2) Upload the photos to their own web hosting site and post the link to that or add the images to the thread and use up their own quota
3) Copy all the details from the thread
4) The post updates to the thread each time something changes on the listing - which happens a lot with eBay
and after all that if the link to the listing is working, it means it is already sold and not a 'Classic Motorhome For Sale?' anymore.
Just seems a perfect way to make this site even more cumbersome and unsearchable.

I agree.
If you are going to upload a photo and details you should copy and upload them. Linking fails completely as illustrated above. Even uploading to your own site or service fails as those change over time.
I always just upload to this site so that until this site goes away the pictures will be associated with it the same way the messages are.

Trying again on the Portland ad. Most of the time I am using the Airforums app with an iPad, and this might be the best that I can do. If I were in the market I would still prefer a link. Even if it does not work directly for whatever reason, it still gives enough info to be able to find the ad. If I have the iPad turned the wrong way when taking a screen shot like this, critical info gets cut off.

What I have been doing is saving the photos and copying the text, but for convenience also the URL so if the ad is still active people can find it directly. Will the iPad app you use allow you to upload photos to this board? I know you can save photos from Craigslist to the camera roll on the iOS device.

Yes, the app on the ipad makes it super simple to upload pics from camera roll. In fact, because of my poor computer skills, I use the app when posting pics and the website for browsing or just posting text.

That's fine if you are a supporting member, but regular members have a quota for the number and size of photos that can be uploaded....its not many and will soon be full if they go this route.
All I can see this doing is reducing the number of listings that get shared because folks (me as an example) wont be jumping through the hoops of turning this thread into a archive of motorhomes which were for sale and may have been sold...as you may have guessed I think it is a bad idea!
