My questions to the seller were:

Dear 1951pbcream,

Good day

When was the last time it was used on the road?
What condition are the tires?
Have the brakes been serviced recently?
How does the engine perform under load?
When was the coolant system flushed, thermostat replaced and drive belts replaced?

Where are you located and would it be possible to come and have a look?

Cheers
Tony

His answer was.......

Engine runs well and is in good condition. Located in NJ

- 1951pbcream

Considering how much effort the seller used to present the coach in a semi clean state; especially since the area rugs spread out over the floor cover up?? it doesn't bode well for the buyer.

It's amazing how some people just don't bother with responding properly to requests for info when they are selling something

There is an Excella motorhome for sale at the Enchanted Trails RV Park and Trading Post in Albuquerque NM. The park is directly behind the camping world there. The owner says the keys are at the office with the owners information. Don't know anything else else beyond that but it may be worth someone checking out. I remember seeing it on our way back from Phoenix with our 345.

I saw an Airstream MH 2 years ago at that Park, which looked like it has been there for some time. I think it was a 1979 24' visually in very poor condition. Lots of dry rot, abs cracking and moss growing. The desert sun does on job on these rigs. Typically I take good mental notes, when I see one of these, but this one must have just turned all the "I want" sensors off.
Again, this may not be the same rig Kreimer is talking about.

The owner of this 93, 360 p/m me and offered it to me for $14,995.00 It was in response to an add I am running in the classifieds for a 91/92 350LE that I am looking for...in addition to the rims I still need. The 93 that is listed looks great and the price is more than reasonable....worth taking a drive from virtually anywhere to check it out. However this is not the style that I am looking for. Regards Bob

Wow this coach with 13k miles is looking to be a screaming deal at $15k,
Or I wonder what is really wrong with it, kind of deal.

How long did airstream make this transitional model.
I'm think just 2/3 years before they went to the a Diesel pusher with this body style.
And this model over lapped with the 350 LE production years. Humm.

Maybe it's a good thing Im tied up here in Kauai right now.

Let's see Washington DC mid winter

Thanks for the clarification Bob.
Help me a little more if you will.
The 350LE and the 360 gasser are built on a P 30 chassis?
Are they built With a more modern 454 engine? Factory Fuel injection etc.

I seem to remember reading of a classic with a Ford engine? Where is that in the lineage ?

Cheers Richard

I've always been under the impression that the 350LE was an updated version of a 345, sharing the same body style and P-30 chassis, whereas the 360 Classic displayed the newer body style, but still utilized the same P-30 running gear. The 360 diesel pushers sit on a Spartan chassis and share a body similar to the 360 Classics, but being "pushers", utilize a single rear axle. Viewed dead on from the front, I don't know if they would appear much different from one another.

The 370 Classic was only produced in 1989 and was built on a Gillig bus chassis. Only 30+ units were built. They are powered by a 460 Ford gas engine. These models look pretty similar to a 345, but due to the different chassis, they sit at least 8" taller than their P-30 based cousins. They also have a noticeably wider front track width that aligns with the outer rear wheel, rather than the inner, as would be the case with a P-30 frame.

If I had to guess, I would say someone is going to get an incredible deal on that 360. It would have fuel injection and probably a 4L80E transmission with overdrive. Nice Airstream for sure!

I put together this chart a few years ago to show the engines and chassis configurations. It might need an update here or there but overall it is pretty accurate.
