I guess I do have two friends who offered to do it with me... OK. You got me thinking about it again. The owner is currently dropping the transmission to replace leaky seals and replacing the torque converter while he is at it. It has been sitting covered. How many other parts might go on the drive? I really want to drive it home, but not sure I should.
ok, LaniKai, the suspense is killing us. Can you at least tell us how long it is ?
And, No, you should not do a 2500 mile drive by yourself, imho

I agree ^. Would want a wrench hand aboard for the shake down trip.
And like Peter above, really looking forward to the complete story!
With pics please. We all love the pics.

Good luck on closing a good deal on a new (to you) coach.

Cheers Richard

310 diesel. That is why we are willing to shop so far away. Life feels short. We are fine and healthy, just have so many things to do.

Ultra RARE Vintage 1979 Airstream Travel Trailer RV | eBay

Same listing pops up every few months, bids usually reach around $4.5-5K and not reach the reserve, but last time 'sold' at $15K. Now the same seller has it re-listed with the same pictures, and a slightly different description (previously it was a running project now the engine is disconnected).

Either the same conversion, or more likely another from the same source, has just popped up on the Air Forums Classifieds.

1979 Airstream Sovereign 31 - Minnesota

If it is the same, it has picked up quite a lot of rear three-quarter accident damage since the Ebay posting

Just called. It is a $20K or best offer. She said it runs and drives well. Think it will go fast. Looks a bit rough but a good price. I'd run down and look at it but I need it like another hole in my head. Was considering an opportunity to clean it up and flip it.

It's just south of Colorado Springs. About 130 miles. I'm in Miami until Wed or I'd probably drive down with the checkbook tomorrow. I just asked it it was running and drivable. Probably a good thing I'm out of town.

Yep if I was anywhere nearby, I'd be heading that way too.
Does that sort of listing on ebay show highest bit?

That's what I was thinking till you were told 20 or best offer. Can that possibly mean best offer less than 20.

I wonder if there is a knowlidgeable Moho person near by to check it out.
