Here is one for you Ford fans. We went to look at this, but did not make a deal on it. The listing is all off, and yes I saw the title and it is listed as a 1987 Geling. Had to be one of the first ones built. The AS s/n says its an 1988.
1987 Airstream rv
This is really, really, really rough! Here is a list:
Levers tore up
leaking exhaust, missing motor (does have headers) Ford 460
SMOKERS!
Inserted a household refrigerator (tore up the opening doing it)
Both roof air units, tost
Does have a Gear Vendor, do not know it works, did not drive it
Electric step does not work
All upholstery needs replaced as well as carpet
Entry door is messed up and does not close
Most of the outside compartment doors, locks tore out, and strapped closed
Broken curb window in back.
Window in living area messed up from owner trying to install window air unit
Tires dated way out
Compressor did not turn off, must have a major leak
Skin creased in top back, side and hail damage
Looks like heaters shot
It did go in drive and reverse, but did not drive
Alaco wheels
Banana rap in back broken up
All vents on top broken up and leaking (might as well say not there)
There is more, I'm sure, but burned out on it.
Owner thinks it a great unit :O
My wife told me not to post this on here, but know with the limited run with the 370 units, someone might want to take it on!
Owner will negotiate on price. I'm a gearhead, and my opinion, would not try to run it down the road. Her grandson said he used it last year to run down to Bowling Green for the Harley drags. Owner said when they got back, door did not work, if that gives you any ideas of the care of this unit.
DID I SAY IT IS REALLY, REALLY, REALLY ROUGH :O
You better be ready to do a lot of work on this unit!
