I can never understand this layout.

Desirable pano rear windows then cover 50% of then with the bathroom!

Perfect base for a re-model with the bathroom moved forward.

$5000 per sentence and Picture...
I wonder what my thread makes my 345 worth?
Almost as funny at the people selling the Airstream Motorhome with a 454 that does 15mpg.... as long as you dont fill up the gas tank, or water tanks to save weight....

Airstream **250** doesn't need a marketing plan, it sells itself for ridiculous amounts. I am always a buyer, but have to see it in person. Now they added more pictures and it looks very worn down and dirty. As the seller says "This motorhome needs cosmetic work" meaning needs everything.
So for around 70-75k you could own one of these fine coaches.

And yes, Nick, it does have the 4l80e

Are the control arms on an argosy something special?

After 1977 things became 'standard P30', before 1977, they were parts bin specials.

Biggest issue is identifying which control arm it has.

Good to know, thanks. I've got family seriously considering trading his 76 GMC palm beach for a 20' Argosy if he can find one.
Exterior on this one looks mint, interior might not help justify the pricetag

Brad is the expert on the subject, but the first model year (1974) seems worse with many front end parts from a C-10 not P-30. This gets better in 1975-76, but for example, they still didn't have steering stabilizers/air bags (unless retro-fitted). So for example early models don't even have the Pitman arms that allow the stabilizer to attach. Bella (1975) had the correct Pitman arms but not the stabilizer which also meant she was missing the mounting point on the front chassis cross bar. On early models the track rod ends are different diameters/tapers.

When I was rebuilding the front suspension on my 74 it took a few tries to get the right ball joints. As Martin mentioned, the 74 is made up of pickup parts, C30 not C10.

I've found that many of the suspension components were listed for "motorhome" chassis while others were for C30 and/or Van.

The front suspension was the c30/Van type and the rear actually was listed for motorhome.

Unique one off - remodeled 345 with a rear entry and the bedroom turned into a dressing room. Owner says they rented it out as a mobile hollywood green room & for events.

The price sure ain't right, but a dual entry layout is interesting to think about, looks like it was done well

I never understood floorplans like that either. I want a dinette or at least a bedroom back there with those big windows.

That's why I always look for the keyword "mid-bath" when rig hunting.

Martin, I suppose you will never speak to me again, but I think this layout is brilliant for a 25' Motorhome. 2 full size beds, a dinette, a full size refrigerator, a workable kitchen... All this is not possible with a mid bath. Granted, the waste of half the pano is a shame, but the trade-off would be worth it to me.

Ducking...

Fully agree about the layout optimizing space Peter, but why not use a single rear window and an additional narrow side window to provide 'viewing' whilst in bed?

It's 'sort off' what is going into Peanut.

If he was 5ft longer the rear bunk would become a north-south double

How about a port hole in the shower wall to enjoy a view of the great outdoors whilst showering? Would that count?

I would have even been happy if they lined up the WC partition with the frame between the center window and the drivers side pano, then used opaque /frosted glass on the drivers side pano!

I have 'a thing' when 'form' doesn't match 'function'. In Europe Fiat for a while obviously had 3 different design teams working on their cars, and you ended up with both the team designing the front and the team designing the top half thinking they both needed to include the headlights....

I am all for good design but it has to enable function

Of course, I tend to agree. My children could sleep on the dinette until they were about eight, so we had five proper beds, you could get into any state park, up and down the Alps and the Pyrenees, small country roads in Devon and Cornwall. Granted, it would be amazing to have the full pano, but I think the trade off is worth it. #FactoryOverdrive

I think you are just agreeing my point Nick.

A 250 for a family needs a rear corner bed and a single rear window (from memory that is what you have?)

A 250 for empty nesters can sacrifice a few of the bunks and benefit from the panos (by moving the bathroom forward)

The version that seems a total waste to me is to try and keep all the beds and have the panos, because half the panos are behind the bathroom.
