As previously mentioned, I took a look at this 360 a while back, and it is a mess!
It is screwed up in every possible way. Seriously... you'd be hard pressed to snap a single pic of this moho without capturing something thats wrong with it, although the seller has done his best to try. Tough to decide if the interior is in worse shape than the exterior, or that the engine/chassis is in worse shape than either. The exterior skin has a dent or scrape everywhere, and the interior looks like it was remodeled by Dr Frankenstein.
I've always been a sucker for a steal of a deal on a great fixer upper with potential, but if you have any hope or vision of a relatively nice end result, this one is the ultimate money pit.

Ok, gotta ask...what was so messed up with the motor and chassis? This one looks better than mine when I picked it up, but the chassis on mine was close to perfect. I had to replace a couple panels on the rear, full motor rebuild, floor, window blinds and curtains, headliner is the next major project...

A bargain it's not, but it's one of the nicer stock units out there.

$71,813.00 US as of today's currency exchange.

This asking price confirms my view that keeping one's Classic Airstream as close to cosmetic (as opposed to mechanical enhancing modifications) original as possible pays-off in the longer term. Although I have changed the rear bed layout and removed the ice-maker in my 1992 345, I have carefully packaged and stored any removed items for later re-installation by a FO as well as preserving the vehicle's heritage.

Chris,
Is this another turn down of my long standing fair market price offer of $18,000.- for your 92 350 LE??

Hang on a second stud.....before you start getting all "stock is best", just remember; you can ask as much as you want, but until someone pays $95,000 for it, only then can you state what you stated as being confirmed.

It is my belief that replacing my subfloor with a lighter non rotting material and renovating my interior with bigger, better and more drawers, more storage and updated technology will aid me when I sell. Is my rig worth $95,000? Not a chance, but it's worth more than what I bought it for. It at least shows an owner that care enough for his AS to use the best materials.

Cheers

I should have said "technological modification" instead of cosmetic which would have certainly covered your subfloor upgrade. As for "bigger, better and more draw"...this falls into the "irreversible cosmetic modification" category to which I referred.

I'm afraid so Peter..although your fair market value is probably correct. As I'm seriously considering either converting to a Cummins diesel or a hotty 454 Chevy crate what is a few extra dollars and digits (as in $5000) added to an already vastly overpriced 1991 (not 1992 I believe!) 350 LE ?
