Well it definitely isn't a pusher, and all the gaser 36'ers were P-30/454/tag axle so I am assuming this is the same without the need for the tag.
This size body on a shorted Spartan/DP chassis with the pano windows and rear beds (twins or north/south queen), side bath, would have been the perfect solo/empty nesters layout

Someone could photoshop a 360 by cutting a section out between the wheels. It would look bad and probably steer pretty weird. Every inch between the rear wheels and the rear bumper is powertrain. I think it would look pretty weird.

As far as I can work out the wheelbase is 18ft 6in (or close to), with a 13ft 4in over rear hang; so if the overhang is all used, it just would not work. There is no way it would be stable with 9ft taken out the middle.

It's a P37 Chasis, GM. Gas.
Would anybody happen to know the GVW of the P37?

Free Argosy Motorhome!
Saw this on Craigslist and figured this might interest someone. Never saw an add for a free motorhome! 1976, 454 engine, with 80,000 miles. Listed on Craigslist in Lordstown, Ohio. Says motor is good, glass is good and exterior looks decent. Needs A/C work.
Add says "Free to whoever can haul it, first come"
Could not figure out how to link the page, but the craigslist # is 6244520471 if that helps.

I don't think this would be at all driveable. Probably was parked years ago ( running) now tires are rotted off, won't start and would need to be towed. Maybe after $4000-$6000 in the shop this could be driveable for 3000 kms. Oh add another 25% conversion and $1000 to get across thr border

Very nice for 76.shows me what some of the original equipment was. Just wondering did they issue factory propane? Or would have that just been something that was just common in the 80's?

It would be approximately $2-3k to get it repaired. A new water pump was also already installed. The Airstream has 12,000 miles and was driven from Florida to Dallas about 18 months ago with no issues. No generator.
We gutted the interior of the Airstream to use a pop-up shop. New hardwood floors and new lighting fixtures (Restoration Hardware) have been installed.

I think the seller is underestimating the cost to get it running.
Fully gutted, does not make for good living space!
And it mentions "new motor" ready to be installed then mentions new water pump installed? That does not add up.

I agree, Wayne. This 82 has been for sale for month now. It seems they installed a new waterpump, just to realize that the engine was toast.
Those are sad stories to me, since a completely gutted MH has limited use potential. The absence of a $$4.-K generator does not help the sale in this hot climate. Seems not even Hofmann architecture is interested in this, which is amazing, considering they were hot after my 310 at almost twice the price.

that is awful. The gut it crowd is running away with our Airstreams. I saw a 24' Motorhome near me that is being redone carefully. Nicely Polished and the interior being restored and improved. That makes more sense than this piece of garbage

Before I got into Airstream products, I had a MH made out of a Bookmobile.
The guy I bought it from bought a Schenectady county bookmobile and a wrecked motorhome. I wish I had pictures of the inside because he did a awesome job of fitting everything into the bookmobile. It had the bathroom with shower a queen size bed in the rear, full kitchen and the original Bookmobile 4 cylinder 10KW generator!
It was a bear to drive, but I loved it. Unfortunately I sold it to someone with minimal ambition and it sits in his yard rotting.

Rebuildable motor and spare motor for 12G's or less.......you should be all over this Mike.😜
I'm thinking the same as Mike; coach sat for a long time; someone didn't get new drivebelts and she overheated.
Hofman Arch very much likes rolling chassis versus ones that need mechanical work done.
Very sad ask I'm sure this Queen of the Road had a long life left in her.😣
