Classic Grille

I've been looking for a few parts after shipping damage from Baltimore.
Airstream do not have the front grille parts.
Does anyone have a front grille and the upper and lower supports or just one part.
Also I'm looking for the curbside (US) wheel arch edge trim.

Thanks

Del

Craiglist in Houston has an ad for a 1979 29 foot motorhome that the seller might part out:

Parting it out

I just got off the phone with the guy in Texas. They are literally in the midst of chopping that thing up as I post this. Anyone that needs parts should get in touch with this fellow. REAL SOON!

I initially replied through the craigs posting and didn't get an immediate response, so I tried the phone number and TOM picked right up. Evidently the local authorities are on his ass, and have ordered him to get rid of the moho ASAP. He told me to call back in about a week. I think his plan is to cut it up as much as possible, and then store the salvageable pieces under a tarp or something. He's talking about building a trailer out of the frame that he can use to haul a boat to Belize? I hope he has access to an M1 tank to tow it safely through Mexico. I specifically mentioned "Montreal's" need for a grille, so hopefully that will end up under the tarp, and also encouraged him to post an ad for parts on this forum.

Charly.

Thanks for posting your phone call to TOM. Hopefully he will respond to all of us who have contacted him so far.
Thanks, Derek

I spoke to Ryan yesterday at www.rvrevive.com & he told me that he was parting out an Argosy moho. Perhaps you should try him.

I've possibly located some parts for my Elvis.
I kind gent in Canada has a grille and headlight castings availabe but they are off his '77 Argosy. The grille is slightly different (6 fins instead of 5) but looks the same overall.
My question before I buy it is, is it the same size? Can someone measure the length of the the top horizontal part of their Argosy 77' onwards (or one that is similar to the Airstream type as I have seen very different ones on early Argosy).
It's basically the part of the grille between the headlight castings.
Then can someone measure the same part on an Airtsream classic. They do look the same but I can't afford to make a mistake and the parts are ready to ship.
If someone is lucky enough to have both types out back that would be even better.
I hear it's proper cold over there.

M

I called him a couple of times last week and left messages. The last time I actually spoke with him (two or three weeks ago), he asked me to be patient. I don't want to become a source of annoyance, so I'm just chilling at the moment. I'll give him another call later this week.

What parts are you after?

i didn't get to see the ad, but its a '79?

my drivers side front body panel segment is dinged up
the one right under the windshield with the front compound curve

as far as i know, its the same for other mohos

i'd possibly want some other body parts too...rear segments, wheel covers, trim, etc.

Yes, I believe it was a '79. I believe the aluminum has been entirely sold for scrap, so don't count on seeing any body segments. He was talking about building a boat trailer with the frame. I'm not sure what he has saved for parts.
I just left another phone message. Hoping for a return call???????
