For anybody on the hunt for the strange and unusual tomorrow about 6 p.m. EDT a two door 1986 Classic 270 will go cheap.... Item # 250092524005on eBay has been around for a week or so and has not had a bid at $6500??
I have nothing to do with this sale and if I had the money would be all over this one...
Check it out and make sure you ask your questions early... this seller has no feedback whatsoever.
But at this price a plane ride to inspect and fund it is not a bad bet.

right on the classifieds here is a really nice 310 for 12,500. This is an exceptional unit, albeit it had hail damage recently......I have seen it at our Forums rallies.
US $7,875.50
It's hard to believe that this coach only went for that much money!!
Such a deal folks!!

Yeh, that appears to be quite a bargain. With all the coaches that are for sale I am beginning to think that gas prices are seriously scaring away potential buyers.
Makes me wonder what my own 345 would bring on the market and makes valuing the 95 Classic 360 Diesel I am flying to see all the more challenging....
Anyone want to venture an opinion on the value of a 360 Diesel Pusher in todays market? I should mention it is in need of complete reclearcoating, but otherwise seller is indicating it is very sound....
Wow, final year of aluminum and diesel to boot.... how many miles?
Nice as they are single axle rear ends not tag axles...so you can turn them around without too much trouble.
I've no idea what it might bring but wish you luck with the survey... and hopefully the aquisition.

the market is scary for sellers I would guess. Seeing the 310 go for 12000+ and knowing how sharp it was is sorta sad.
I am hoping the gas price fears will lighten up after we get used to the fact they are not coming down. The oil companies have got us by the "rivets".
Don't know for sure, but the 250 (25 foot) seems to be the smallest classic that I have heard of. Certainly, the Argosy 20 foot is a real classic, even though it is not usually referred to by that name. Whatever they call that 20', I'd sure like to have one.

I think the Airstream badge showed up in 1978 and in 1979 they produced a 23 Footer. Maybe for one year only and I have no idea of production numbers.
The 25 footer started production in 1990 and was produced for three years, 90, 91, 92. I have been told Airstream made 15 per year for a total of 45 units.
I have a 1990 250 that I purchased about a year ago after wanting one for a long time. I'm very pleased with it. It's in the paint shop now having the gray and maroon repainted and new pin stripping.

David have you any interior pictures? Is it usual for the door to be centered? 25' is a great size. I am curious as to the floorplan.
The center door is the same on all 250's. The main benifit on the 250 is you can take it and park it all most anywhere. I have removed the passenger seat and replaced it with a platform for my dog and put in composite floors.
Freds Airstream site has a lot of information on Argosy and Airstream motor homes.
Now that's a lucky dog! You really did put him up on a pedestal to watch the road go by. It's amazing how much room there is in a 25'. Very nice layout. I love the flush wood cabinetry, it shows quality and not overdone with stylings such as raised panels or mirrors. Nice upholstery insets too. I have never seen that. All those windows are great. And I think the openness of the view driving would be spectacular. Considering how much time and how many scenic roads we travel driving it would make the whole experience better. Now I know why they call them a land yacht. Glad you finally found one and thanks Alan for posting all the pictures and information. You don't have a tow vehicle blocking your view or taking up space. Cool.

Oops - I mean in 1979 they made an Airstream 24" Sorry
Balrgn I LOVE the Peanut! You have done a lot of work on that getting it up and going and systems good. It reminds me of a volkswagon bus on the outside. It amazes me to be so small and self propelled and self contained--looks bigger than van conversions??
Fred your archives are extensive. Thanks. Right now I am hobbled with the broadband out and doomed to dial-up but I am seeing a bit of it, e v e n t u a l l y e e e e e e e e e o o o o o w w w w ! ! !
