This info is from one of our other Airstream brothers.
When you call Maziuk, ask for Jim.
The part number is on the receipt.
OK that picture didn't work that well but.....
I believe the Ives part number is IVE1520420 152B26D Mortise Bolt. Price was $39.20 each.

Dead bolt repair thread

Rob is correct. When you call and ask for Jim, explain to Jim that I had talked to him back in September of 2012 and that he was very helpful. He took the time to take measurements while I was on the phone with him. They sell this same Mortise Bolt in various finishes. Any one of the finishes would be suitable for the Airstream. These Mortise Bolts have been discontinued by the manufacturer and it took me several days of searching and cross referencing numbers to finally find someone that had them in stock.

I'm not sure who else might stock these Mortise Bolts but once Maziuk sells their remaining stock it's going to be a lot harder trying to find replacements.

When I ordered I bought two, one to install right away and one as a spare.

Would you include a link to the dead bolt at Vintage Trailer Supply? I just checked and didn't find anything resembling what is used on the Classic motorhomes.

There is no picture associated with the listed dead bolt so how do you know it's the correct one?

380879 is the same part number of the one that was at outofdoorsmart.com. Call them and ask them to describe it. The numbers match

Looking at the picture from Out Of Doors Mart it sure looks to be the same.

380879 from Out of Doors Mart

The one listed at Vintage Trailer Supply is listed as a "clearance" item which makes me wonder how many of them they have in stock.

380879 from Vintage Trailer Supply

The good news is at least there is one more supplier besides Maziuk although the price is 2-1/2 times higher. All things considered even at $99, if your dead bolt is broken I'd rather pay the money than not have a working dead bolt.

Thanks!

Brad

Just ordered from Maziuk, $37.00 total. He still has a few, the bronze and brass are cheaper but your not going to see the difference anyway.

I'm Already there, fortunately my lock is on the right side as you enter, it was simply removing the
Inside door frame trim, drilling out the rivets on the top wall panel, removing the window trim/screen giving full access to the actuator and the mortise bolt.

The right side? Are you talking about a trailer then?

From looking at the picture I think that one is to long. Ives made at least three different lengths of mortise bolt. The dimensions are in the auction. I'll try and remember to compare the measurements with my old one to see if they are the same.
