We currently have the sideways queen. There is little to no room to walk around the bed at night if you are the one on the tail end of the coach and end up having to climb over the other person to get to the toilet. I am really tired of this. I am trying to find options short of converting it to twins. Can y'all post some pictures of your conversions/solutions please?
Generator is under sofa on street side up front. Water tank is under bed running side to side toward the rear and there is an exterior compartment that sticks in on the curb side just back from the closet.
Some pictures of the "north-south" layout for the bed but I don't think you gain much. Quite a bit of work without really solving the problem. I don't think Ive ever seen a 345 with the the bed centered in the space but even then there is so little room on either side. Maybe with all cabinets removed you would gain useable isle space on either side of the bed. We have the same situation in our 310 but for now anyway we are willing to live with it......can't see going to twins. You may be able to install a base for a custom sized mattress but then you would have to have custom sized bedding to fit properly. Looks like you may need to sit down with your measurements and play around with design.
The 86 345 I dismantled had a little isle on three sides of the east/west double (or it might have been a queen) bed. The isles were maybe a foot wide.

I thought about trying to do a centered front back bed but that would involve moving a lot of stuff and plumbing. I think what I have decided to do is extend the bed to the back wall making it 79" wide. The aisle at the side of the current bed at the rear of the coach is worthless. It won't solve the climbing over issue but it will make the bed bigger. I plan on hinging the bed to open and I can use the wasted storage underneath. The bed I believe will 69"x75". I found a place online that will do a custom size foam mattress pretty cheap or if I want to spend more $$$ there is Hahn bedding here in KC I can get a custom cushy mattress made.
The coach is currently in the shop getting the exhaust, brakes and brakes repaired.
