Battery fixed; now on to DC power

Thanks for the advice about the battery. Tightening the contacts and a jump start did the trick.

BTW, what is the ON/OFF switch in the battery compartment for? I've tried to find it in the manual.

I drove several miles today thinking it would charge the house batteries. I still have no power inside. Am I making the wrong assumptions?

I don't think I will ever winterize again... getting back up is turning into a nightmare (did I mention I learned about no differential on the axles when one side got stuck in the sand; that postponed my battery charging voyage by several hours and a winch!)

The on/off switch is to prevent battery drain during extended periods of storage

So should the On/Off switch be in the On position when using the RV? And could this be why I don't have any power inside?

Thanks.

Yes, turn it ON
It should be Lit RED. if there is Power to the coach. or chassis
If it does not Light RED
start at the battery and follow the wires as HOT. Until there is NO Volts. Bingo, You found the Dead spot. Fix it and move on into the Coach.
