Arizona trip

Thanks for posting that pic Mike.

For those that don't know we are on our way to Arizona for the winter. We had a great stop over with Mike & Lynn. Thanks for the use of your drive way for the night and for the great dinner.

We left Mikes place yesterday morn and drove to Blytheville Arkansas stayed the night in a Walmart.

We left at 8 am this morn and arrived in Oklahoma city around 5.30 staying at another Wally world.

So far everything is going to plan and the coach purring along with the car in tow. We are 1560 miles from home

Should be somewhere in New Mexico by tomorrow night

If you cross N M on 60, you will be going by the VLA. That's very large array. The space listening facility. And ya got to stop in Pietown at the Pieoneer restaurant for some of their amazing pie. Check out the windmill collection next door while there.

There are nice rest stops along 60 that are comfortable to overnight in. Simple pullouts in the middle of nowhere.

Once in Az you can go on south to Phoenix and then up through the desert on your way to quartzite. Probably the easier route.

Or you can turn n w at a show low , take 260 thru Payson, down the mountains to camp verde, Prescott and then on west across the desert to quartzite, lots more mouniatns on this route but quite beautiful.

Buckskin S P on the river south of Quartzite is really nice.

Keep us posted, love hearing about road trips.

Cheers Richard

Stopped in Phenoix to get the coach and toad washed had to wait in line an hour and a half. Then we continued on to Quartzsite rolled in at about 4.30 pm and
checked in to the park. Should be here for the next few days.
Had a great trip just over 2800 miles .

Ahhh, just got the krik out of my neck doing a handstand looking at John's photo. Thank G0d I've lost 70 lbs.

The man loves to be behind the wheel doing 500+ miles a day easily; Ann maybe not so much in the passenger seat.

Zippy, with new suspension, tires and wheel alignment, will be the devoted toad and tag along all day.

Happy motoring guys, very glad you made it with no drama this time like lights not working and no smoke from under the dashboard.......which reminds me....did you ever replace the really big fuse you replace the really small fuse that blew; or did you just keep the really big fuse in......cause it didn't blow?

Cheers

Be a you tee full.

Looks warmer than here. Just a dusting of snow though to clean things up and make everything look Xmas'y.

Cheers

Gee John, it seems like you’re really close to both California and Mexico. Any plans on venturing to either ? Regards, Bob
