Airstreams Don't Leak
I'm in town looking for something I can use/modify for rain gutters. I just had an RV dealer parts manager tell me that Airstreams don't leak and that there is a lifetime factory warranty against leaks.
I just put in a call to Jackson Center to schedule a warranty appointment to fix all rain water leaks on my '82 280.
I'm awaiting that return call!
Did you also know that the process of fracking is perfectly save to our drinking water?
Wink, wink!

With all the tales of woe from you guys, I am considering not re-installing the inner panels in mine so I can at least see where the water is coming in.....

That's hilarious. The one I usually get is "Those Airstreams, they sure are heavy". Then when I tell them that this one weighs in at about 3500#'s, jaws start to drop.
Now to be fair, the water heater and propane tanks are not back in yet, as well as some of the cabinetry. But still, I expect to be back at the factory spec of around 4500#'s when done.

Airstreams don't leak, they merely perspire.
Airstreams don't leak, it's a standard humidifier. Didn't you read your list of features?
Airstreams don't leak, it's all a Communist conspiracy.
Airstreams don't leak, because you're NOT suppose to expose them to water.
Cheers
Tony

Technically Airstreams aluminum will not leak. It is the failure of the caulk that is the problem. Go after some of those companies that conveniently disappear every five years, for warranty.

I was told by another dealer (SOB), to caulk all the seams with clear silicon so I bought a case from him. Wink, wink!

Hi, the Airstream lifetime warranty is only honored at one location and that is at the corner of Foothill Blvd & Ocean Ave.

That warranty applies to models that have no windows, doors, seams, or rivets. A very limited edition from what I recall.

I guess they better expand they're shop and enlarge there parking lot to 300 acres and have police on full time to direct traffic to accommodate all them airstreams from 1935-2015 since 70 % are still on the road the other 30% will come in on flat bed tow trucks they might find a parking spot in there 300 acre lot.

I love it when people at campgrounds and others come up and say I'm lucky to have a a trailer like that because Airstreams don't leak. I had one guy buying some starter bee hives from me go on and on about an Airstream his brother had. He was somehow able to say about 30 things that were completely wrong in about 5 minutes, and did so with the authority in his voice as if he invented the trailer. It's really amazing sometimes. Every time it rains hard I'm out in the trailer seeing if there's a leak that I missed.

It like a boat. Life is grand until water gets on the wrong side of the aluminum.

The fine print say's if you hit a chuck hole or use W/D the warranty is void and null.
