82' MoHo windsheild wiper motor

I'm trying to look ahaead here. I'm buying an 82' MoHo that has "some concerns" with the windshield wiper motor...the seller say they don't work and says he's tried to fix them by, "getting a machine shop to make a new post"(whatever that means)...he did say they misinterpretted his design and he did not follow through. I'd prefer to be prepared to replace the motor if I have to.

Where is a good place to purchase one(Detroit or south western Ontario). How extremely difficult are they to replace?

He said put "rain-ex"(yuck) on and it worked out well, I prefer the tried and true method...especially if I'm driving 300 miles home in an Illinois/Michigan March.

Cheers,
Chris

hello, if it's the motor, discount auto has or can get for you in a day or 2..other than that a chevy truck dealer can get you the parts you need if it's on a p30 or p32 frame.

There are two motors each run independent of each other. They are very easy to find in any junk yard just look for a milk or bread truck. They are also very easy to replace.

The 'posts' here refers to sound like pivot shafts. Member Glenn Comb has posted this site:

Main Catagories & Contents

Which should have what you need. Navigation on this site is a little odd, you want "Stepvan Catalog, wiper parts, wiper parts by type, pivot shafts". You shouldbe able to find what you need although you will need the old part to figure out exactly what's needed.

wiper motor

Good replies guys. thank-you.

I don't know what the problem is, I'll try to get more info when I can.

"Easy to replace" do you have general instructions on how Chaplain? or a link to instructions.

Cheers,
Chris

Kent is right the motors are easy, the pivot shafts are a bit more of a pain
