Yup, after this last trip the family has been put on notice, no clothes, food or pots and pans as I need space for the tools, fuses, Power Probes and if Bob can clone himself, I'll take one of those too.

Cheers
Tony

Nice One!

Bob,

I know that you're hot for a 370, and that one looks like a beauty! I'm amazed at the condition of the exterior, and it has full awnings! The dinette conversion is interesting. Looks like a good way to increase sleeping accommodations.

Be sure to stop by if you find yourself driving it home on I-95. There is no one I would rather see trouble shooting a 370 more than you. When will you be doing the diesel conversion?

Charly

There is a guy coming from Florida to look at the 370 on June 3, if he does not buy it we will be at the International rally at the end of the month. The 370 will probably be the last one that I do so if I get it and the diesel conversion is a go I am going to remove the entire body from the frame. I have the facility and the men to help me do it. I believe the hardest part of the conversion will be the wiring harness, IE engine controls and instrumentation. Being that....it will probably be the most labor intensive project i have ever done.....I might be ready for the rubber room....LMAO!!!!

If I read this correct, are you going to convert a 370 to diesel?...I would definitely follow that one...take lots of pics.

Bob,

Ditto that! Do you have enough space to convert three or four 370's all at the same time? Maybe we could apply for Federal grant money as part of a "green global initiative to reduce fossil fuel consumption"? Hey…. the government might even pay for the work!

Charly

Bob

If your going with the 7.3L Ford......

The late ’99 to ’00 model year is the jewel of 7.3L Power Stroke engines, due to having the proven, forged-steel connecting rods and 17 degree high-pressure oil pump (vs. 15 degree on ’94˝ to early ’99 models) and being equipped with an intercooler from the factory. These forged-rod engines have proven they can handle more than 500 rwhp, be quite fuel efficient, and last forever.

Or are you going with the big C?

Or crazier still, turn the body around, front wheel drive and rear wheel steering.......come to think of it......may not be such a good idea.

Cheers
Tony

370 Detail Pics

Bob,

Hope these do the trick…
In that last pic, I peeled up the carpet that lines the storage compartment. You can make out where the floor and underlying aluminum sheet has been cut away to allow for the compartment's height/volume.

Thanks, I will show you some pictures of the one I am looking at. Looks like access holes were made for the heater unit removal fore and aft, also with the addition of the dinette, the storage compartment looks a little different. In any regard I will be down there next week to check it out. Thanks for your prompt response, Regards, Bob
