Bob, what are you using to remove all of the glue residue and clean the doghouse cover?

I should've known it would be a Snap-on product!

Thanks.

I finished cleaning up the dog house cover, installing the new fire proof blanket was not as easy as I thought it would be, but what is....ending up making 8 smaller pieces that fit together. The original insulation appears to weigh 10-15 lbs. The new insulation weighs nothing and the cover is easier to maneuver on and off. Finished a complete transmission service and changed the oil and filter as well. Regards, Bob

Bob, if you don't give up your trade secrets how is Snap-on going to make a profit?!

Thanks for the info.

If you look closely at the can you might be able to figure out what it is.

I will say that Snap-on doesn't have a YA370 product in their inventory. Looking at the can I can't tell what sort of residue remover it is. I'm sure Lowes or Home Depot will have something appropriate.

I decided to blast another project that is on the list before the next trip. The first part is replacing the original 1/8” NPT fresh water auto fill solenoid with a 1/2” NPT solenoid so now it will take 10 minutes to fill the 100 gallon tank instead of 4 hours.....the second part of the project is to remove the kitchen sink wall (wallpaper) and replace the unused switch for the instant hot water, move the outlet 12” lower so u don’t need an extension cord, install the new Onan remote for the new generator, install the new tank monitoring system display, etc. There sure are a lot of wires that have to labeled under the hood range exhaust which will be replaced over the winter, Regards, Bob Click image for larger version

Bob, were the pink and brown wires tide together with wire nuts, and do u know what the transformer is for that plugs into 110 behind the micro, and than wires run into range hood.

The only purpose for the transformer is to illuminate the AC power indicator located in the display panel in the range hood, I guess Airstream figured it would be an easy indicator for someone to tell if shore power or generator were putting out to the outlets. As far as the pink/brown wires being tied together I’ll take a better look this morning, got a picture of yours ?

I have decided to make the overhead cabinet the place where the generator start/stop controls and the tank monitoring display

will be located. Since I have upgraded to 50 amp service I no longer need the switch for the microwave/instant hot water heater. Also less if a chance of me hitting the generator controls or overfilling the fresh water tank or someone else. It will also clean up the kitchen wall with less to look at. Regards, Bob
