Kota,

The exhaust break is amazing, I rarely have to use the brakes if I am driving as you should in a diesel. Just the last 20 or so feet.

I have a total of seven batteries. Two engine batteries at the rear, and five house batteries located up front.

I like the setup you have, if you would share the design and concept you used I will look into duplicating. I plan to do four solar flex panels on top, so I have to figure out the best placement for everything. Soon everything will be completed :-D

It's always something...

Fuel Leak:
Fixed the weeping lines on the injector side of the engine, then I had weeping lines on the pump side thought I eliminated all fuel leaks, but there is something in the vicinity of the fuel shutoff solenoid.

Oil Leak:
Developed an oil leak that cost me a quart of oil every 100 miles or so. The lower securing nut of the power steering pump was missing, so I replaced it, and that seemed to fix it.

Generator:
The generator we spent a bit of money on will not remote start. The generator will start using the start switch on the actual generator, but it will not send power to the coach. I have tried the circuit breakers and checked the power switching box. Circuit breakers do nothing regardless of position. Power switching box looks new inside, with no signs of scorching, or bubbling at fusible links. No idea where to start, but will research.

Electrical fun. Turn on the gen, make sure the breakers on it are turned on, then test the output from the gen and work tour way out.

Yep, find your first junction closest to the genny and work your way out like Sebas said.

I finally had an electrical problem that wasn't due to a bad ground, bad crimp on connector, or a loose connection. My turn signal flasher failed on the way home from the springs.

BTW, the emerg flasher and turn signal flasher are interchangeable in a pinch.

An electrical question for you...where is the converter/charger located? No inverter on these right?

Behind the panel in front of the passengers feet. There are some screws embedded in the carpeting. A magnet is handy to find them.

No built in inverter in mine. PO had a cig lighter plug in one. About 300 watts.

I have not had the chance to dig into it yet, but it is on my list of things to do. I have a business trip for a few months beginning next weekend. We'll see if I get to it, however I did manage to get a service manual for the onan 6500 Grand Marquis, so that's something.

Tracked down the oil leak on my 94 that caused the mess in the radiator. One of the bolts was missing on the bottom of the compressor. I believe you had the same issue.

I did learn a few things on the 94. There is an installation manual for the Granning Air Ride. It references jacking up the vehicle and removing the leaf springs, reusing the front spring mounts and bolts, installing the bags, leveling valves... Almost looks like it was a dealer installed option. I'll send you a copy if you would like.

Yes please! I assume it also has all the part numbers? Next time we get together, if you bring the 94 I would like to ride in it to see if it would be an upgrade I would want to undertake.

Thanks! Had a moment to work on the generator today. Previously I replaced the control board because the original was burnt out, so thought that was all it was. This was before I got the service manual. Took all the remote switches apart and cleaned them, there was a lot of carbon build up on them. Also saw the ground in the junction box had a lot of scaling and galvanization built up on it, so took it apart cleaned it and reconnected it.

Result:
1. Can start the generator at the unit.
2. Can stop the generator at the unit.
3. Can Stop the generator at both remote switches.
4. Generator powers the coach.
5. Cannot Start the the generator with either remote switch. (anyone know where the generator remote switch cables are routed? I can see it go into a hole above the unit, but I think it might go in between the skins.)

I am thinking it might be some of the wiring that goes around the aft end of the unit inside open area aft of the engine compartment above the hatch area.
