Actually our local A/S dealer is doing repairs due to the MH getting sideswiped.
Amoung other things the main sections needing replacement include the side skin shown, the left rear wrap around skin, left rear wrap (I think that's what the bottom flexible piece is called) and the inside rear liner.
So far the factory has had all needed parts.
One of the shop personel told me yesterday that he quit trying to count # of rivets removed (for side skin) when he reached 300 and guessed he was 1/3 of the way having it removed.

345Bill,
Where are you having this work done...? Looks like a really good job. Hope I never have to try them out, but Murphy is a passenger...

Mike- Lucky for us our MH was parked and "Murphy" was the only one in it when it was sideswiped.
The work is being done by Loren Swartz, service manager, at Pat Clark Custom Haulers & Trailers here in Las Vegas,NV. as they are our local A/S Dealer.
Loren says most of the "old timers" should remember him from "Cascade RV" in Eugene, OR. as they were primarly Airstream during the years he ran it there.
We obviously have a ways to go right now but up to this point the work he, and his crew, has completed so far is fantastic. I'm by far not a expert with Airstreams but it's obvious Loren is very talented and knows Airstreams, new & old.
I hope you don't have to try them out either but it's good to know if you do. Thanks for asking.

Cascade RV had a great reputation, looks like Loren knows what he's doing. I've had body work done on mine and it's sure neat to watch the pros do it!

Sideswipe repair almost complete. Turned out there was absolutely no damage behind the skins.
