Yes, I have spoken to Klaus Keitel. Nice van. I will be driving through Germany on holiday this year, so would welcome some recommendations on nice places. We head for the Italian Lakes, but I fancy stopping off in the Black Forest.

I will scan that article and send it over to you.

It would also be worth contacting Custom Manufacture.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbW...YtDx1HIo-tOOUQ

I have tried on several occaisions, but they have not responded - perhaps you coud call them. We should check whether they have kept any of the parts from their modified 250.

I already get in contact with that company. I spoke to a guy he was responsible for the rest of the company.
Years ago they gone bankrupt. The AS parts are sold long time ago, nothing left.

Hello, it is my Airstream you are looking for. I bought it from Kees in Holland and enjoy my 250 since many years now. Your comment is right. It seems to be the only one built in 1973 and the very last one ever built. So the 250 is back home in Bremen / Germany and in good shape.

Welcome aboard the forum Split Window!
Wow. Your new coach is fantastic looking, so pristene.

I'm wondering about your handle here. Is that a reference to the early 50s VWs or the 1963 corvette. I'm hoping it's the VWs. As that would make the perfect companion to your coach.

I did a west coast tour last summer with my 911 in tow and had many Europeans chat me up about the idea of towing a car with the motorhome.
It seemed strange to them. Is this not done there in Germany?

So glad to have you join us here on the forum. Love having the international perspective on the RV world. Look forward to many updates as you get on the road.

Cheers Richard

I am a affiliate member as well - we are trying to work out the logistics of bringing our Argosy over for the rally
