Has anyone found a shower door to fit the factory 22 inch opening? We don't want the accordion style door or a shower curtain. We haven't yet found one that will fit but think that some cleaver Airstream owner has solved this issue.
Your best bet would be to try a bathroom shop. You should ask if they have a supplier that makes shower doors for domestic bathrooms. They should have a custom size option that could fit if you measure the opening or drive it down there.
Or you could ask a glass company to make a frameless door which is just connected to the frame with chrome, gold whatever metal 'lock at 90 degrees' hinges. You will need door seals. You can then have frosted, coloured or patterned glass. I think a bronze/frosted glass would be on keeping. The glass MUST be toughened or tempered.
I design bathrooms for a living and sell this sort of thing
Good luck

If I remember correctly, if a shop does it, the door has to swing out according to a safety code. An out swinging door has special problems of keeping the water and spray from escaping around the jambs and sill. Since I did my own, I was able to allow it to swing inward and the jambs and sill block the exit of spray water. Also, the styles to make the door itself were set up for a total thickness of glass and rubber gasket equaling 1/2". The Twinwall is 1/2" thick so it just barely fit in the styles without a gasket so the Twinwall was bedded in silicone sealant on all sides. The latching of the door to the jamb is by way of a magnetic strip on the jamb and one on the door so the two pull the door closed once the magnetics strips get close to each other.
Bob, our problem on 345 is that door opening is out to middle of the rig, our sit-down area is in back of shower, not to the side, do an inward swing door really isn't possible. Saw Raveson's 345 at last weekend's Airstream Rally, he has the outward swing. Forgot to ask about water run-off when opening door, lol.
Thanks for some great ideas, Derek
Always put down a bath matt infront of the door, but have not had any trouble with water in the carpet. The matt get wetter from us coming out then runoff from the door.
I had the same issue with my 345. I ended up using a quality fabric shower curtain which I had a small stainless steel chain hemmed into the bottom for weight. It has worked perfectly and is more convienient than a solid door especially when you bump it turning around in the shower.
