1990 345 Motor Home Rear Airbags

Does anyone know the Firestone part number for these air bags? The Airstream number is 685207. I have been told that it is 2080, however, Firestone says that this is not true.

Part number is W01-358-5412. It is made by Firestone. You can purchase at www.truckspring.com for $125.39 each. They where in stock. This appears to be the correct bag for most of the Classics.
Parts for the Henschen tag axle can be obtained from American Carrier Systems 800-344-2174. The descriptions and part numbers are listed in the Tag axle drawings provided in another thread. Prices are very reasonable for example transverse rod bushings 7572-001 are $12. By the way if you are going to change the air springs you should also change the rod bushings (4)and the straddle pins (2) since these get considerable wear.

I am not certain how the air bag compressor on the 345 is wired but on my 280 they were wired through the chassis to the front panel and into the ignition then routed back. This caused a drop in amperage and blown fuses. With a recent complete chassis rewire the experts put in a simple relay to the chassis batteries back to the compressors and then switched it through the ignition. No more blown fuses and steady now have steady amp readings. I also had a new compressor put in which I am certain will last a lot longer this time.

My 1989 built 345 has the relay so it always worked fine and no blown fuses. I have never had a problem with the compressor or any component that is located inside the coach.
