Well its a steering damper... normally its mounted across the chassis under the engine cross member.
The supersteer is a win.
They are $300 bucks a piece, and are a huge upgrade, as they have roller bearings instead of the stock sloppy plain bearing units.

SuperSteer Bell Crank for Chevy P30/32 Motorhome Chassis

Looseness, or play in the steering wheel can often be attributed to the bell crank (or "idler"), which supports the steering linkage. Original equipment designs utilize common sleeve bushings, which often wear out prematurely and cannot be adjusted for side play. By contrast, SuperSteer bell cranks utilize tapered roller bearings, which are far better at carrying load and can be adjusted to achieve precise movement.

I coincidentally replaced the steering damper on our 345 yesterday. The old one was totally shot and our coach only has 51,000 on the clock. After reading this thread I immediately ordered the Supersteer bell crank. Our coach handled like a pogo stick. This should do the trick.

I have them on mine. As I have been tell y'all my Moho drives great with those. I recommend getting for yours if you don't already have. They make all the difference in the world. I was able to pass big rigs on the highway without blowing off the road after I installed mine.

anyone have any ideas where to locate replacement tail-light lenses? Just started looking this evening, but so far not much luck. As well, what about the turn signal lenses for the front of moho? Of course, I'm looking for best price, doubt that I could afford anything directly from Airstream. Gotta be a supplier out there somewhere
Thanks, Derek

Look what finally came!

Just out front of my home, sweeping the last bit of leaves (leaves don't come down in the fall here in Florida) and discovered that I had a package hidden. Wow, this is going to be so cool! Now DadsToy and I can actually be 'twins' with our iPad steering wheel holders!

Derek, it's true, Airstreamer's don't have a sense of humor...sad.

I bet it is the heavy exposure to all that aluminum. It's starting to affect me too!

Nope, that's not it either, that would be lead exposure that affects the old brain.

Why don't you lads get together and send one of those 345 diesel pushers over to China and ask them to make copies! They are real good at that and can do it in a short time frame.
They even copied the new Ford P/U.
Chinese carmaker blatantly copies Ford F-150

Ok, here's a new question. Since $ are tight, no camping in foreseeable future, I'm considering removing all of the interior, including the interior skin so I can remove Fiberglas insulation and replace it with something with a higher R-rated value. Has anyone ever stripped interior of their Classic Motorhome? If so, any hints or suggestions?
Thanks, Derek
