1988 345 Motorhome Brochure
1988 345 Motorhome
Hi, wondering if anyone could tell me where to find brochure for 1988 Airstream motorhome. Specifically, I'm looking for GVW and base weight, as well as tank capacities (fresh, gray and black water). I haven't bought this unit yet, but talking to owner and about to come to an agreed price.
Thanks for any assistance.

I've got a 1989 345. I don't think there's much difference in tank capacities. PM me or ask questions here & I'll answer as best as I can per my owners manual.

I actually have a scan of the 1988 brochure (off-line) but I must be missing the specifications page.
1989 brochure lists the 345 as:
Black 50 gal.
Gray 40 gal
White 60 gal.
Approximate Standard Weight "ASW" (with fuel) = 16,500 #
* Options may add to the weight

Try this page--- Airstream,Inc::Motorhome Specifications
airstream.com then to service then to vintage motorhome specs then to the year of the coach.

Hi,
Thanks for all of the great suggestions. Guess I haggled too much on this unit. Sold yesterday. Oh well, not in any big hurry, just know that when I do purchase, Airstream, and ONLY Airstream. Was amazed though that a 454 only had about 230hp. Will go through some of the posts and find what others have done to help with the horsepower and torque of this unit. As an average, what are others getting for mpg on the highway.
Thanks, Derek

Well Michael, was gonna say 'YIKES', but then remembered I only got 11mpg when towing a 13.5 footer travel trailer with my 87 Thunderbird a few years ago. So, I guess for a vehicle that weighs north of 16K, 5 to 6, maybe 7mpg isn't all that bad. Still on the lookout.
Thanks for the reply, Derek

I just got about 8mpg on a run from KS to CA in less than favorable conditions. I will point out also that my pretty much stock 1987 Suburban 2500 with a 454 and TBI rarely does more than 10mpg!
