Hey Nick,

I'm guessing that this is the guy that knows "a close one" when he sees it! A next generation Airstreamer for certain.

Snapped this pic at final boarding for departure from Penn Wood. Thought you'd get a kick out of it.

Crappy day. Just got an email from the caves that a vending machine had been vandalized. We went down and discovered this.

Looks like the interior just needs a good cleaning. They discharged the fire extinguisher throughout the entire coach. The passenger side windshield is toast. Gonna see if ins will cover anything before I clean it up. Sigh.....

Yeah total bummer Kreimer!

But, Didn't your coach come with broken windows. Or am I confusing it with another?
If so, did you inherit a coach stalker with the motorhome?

I may watch too many crime shows, but don't they have some security videos etc to find out who did this.

The interior looks like you have lots of projects going on. Or is that mess the intruder made. I often look around during projects and the place looks ransacked.

Hard to understand this happening in a secure storage place, especially a cave.

Hope you can recover And move on with the enjoyment part of your coach.

Cheers Richard

I had a small mess as I am replacing the water heater but it appears they opened and rifled through every cabinet, tried to force a screwdriver through the television, Stole the DVD player, stepped on the lower open cabinet doors and discharged the fire extinguisher. I am hoping that is it. Should just need the extinguisher powder cleaned up and stuff put away again. I hope. Haha. I don't know if the lock didn't catch or what. No damage to the lock though. I need to get the door handle lock working apparently... I did have a couple windows broken when we bought it but the windscreens were in great condition. Looks like I get to drop another grand. Yeah! Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...

So sorry to hear of your misfortune. It's difficult enough to keep these old beasts on the road without something like this. I sure hope the ins. co. has good news for you!

Not to be a sh!t; but on the positive side, they didn't set fire to it, smash the interior end caps and walls or damage the exterior aluminum. Everything else can be fixed or replaced fairly easily; it just makes all of us mad.

Makes you want to bring back flaying.

Cheers
Tony

Flaying is a great idea!!! I know it could definitely have been worse. It can all be fixed. I guess my biggest issue is how fucked up does someone have to be to make doing this to someone else's property fun. On the up side, I believe my insurance covers vandalism so may cover the damage with a $500 deductible. I have to call them tomorrow and talk it out with them. Huzzah...

After all the work that you've done, this absolutely sucks! If you do have vandalism with a $500 deductible, I would be looking for a small crack in the driver's side windscreen just so the replacements will both match.
