That happened on an auction car my Daughter had me buy for her. It was a mouse nest in the dash fan. The spinning fan cage caused enough friction to set the nest on fire. Hopefully your fix will be just as easy.

That would be fantastic. I have not looked deeply yet but I am hoping I don't have to pull the dash just to get to the fan and heater core. I started tearing the upholstered walls down today. Much better. No more dusky rose!!! Click image for larger version

Now to find a decent light fixture to replace that one with. Easy enough to rewire household fixture for 12volt.
Also had a thought about the bathroom. Thinking about cutting the wall next to the toilet ( which is on the extensive list to be replaced...) and replacing the plastic accordion door with a small sliding or hinged door to meet with the hinged bathroom wall when open.

It makes sense in my head anyhow... I absolutely hate accordion doors. Our 65 has one for the bathroom door and I absolutely hate it.

I am trying to find a diagram of the water lines in this beast cause the ones I see inside make no sense to me. Brushing up on my forum search skills!

I always thought that rose color was kinda funky!

The 345 I dismantled had the same color scheme and when I was inside taking it apart I always felt like I was in my grandmothers house

Kreimer,

I was sitting in my coach last night, thinking about how much I really love the cozy retro glow of that light fixture, and since I'm trying to leave my 370 in as close to "original" condition as possible, that would fit right in with the other. Let me know if you'd like to sell it, and I'll PM you an address.

Charly

As soon as we figure what we want I'll let you know. There is one in the bedroom as well you are most likely welcome to. I only have one shade as the other one is melted.

The HVAC system is mostly contained in the under dash space fwd of the passenger seat. There is a plywood carpeted cover with vents over it. Removing that, should give you access to the unit to diagnose/investigate your smell/smoke.

Taking the beast to an Rv repair place here in town to get an idea what the repairs I want to do/have done will cost if they do them vs me doing them. Will be interesting to see the dollar differences. Didn't have a chance today to dig into the heater.

Going to measure the windows and get the fuzzy stuff and the plastic track ordered soon. Looking forward to a quieter ride and not putting a raincoat on in the car wash...

Exclamation

I believe the 'Mystery Switch' operates an outlet under the sink. I think it was intended for an optional Instant Hot Water Dispenser. Of course it could also operate the Self Destruct feature as well.

Took the cover from the heater core/blower today. The blower is pretty much seized and there is also antifreeze in the bottom of the box. Click image for larger version

ID:	255338 doesn't look too hard to get the core out so I may pull it and see if it can be repaired. Havnt decided what to do with the blower yet. Have to get it pulled and see...
