Klattu hit it right on the head for the 6000 Honda. My 6010 is a great generator but much louder than the Generac Quietpac I had prior. If I could have stuffed the bigger Generac in there I'd have done it but it was too tall.

The Honda is not as quiet as one would think. The portable Hondas are so quiet it's day and night. But so far the reliability has been perfect Honda.

So has anyone been able to find a generator that runs quietly?

Also, how does one hook up a portable generator to the system, considering that the in house one is in the compartment?

Just how quite are the Honda 1000w ?
I am interested in one for times I don't need AC or so much power.

Just to recharge battery and run water pump and lights would be nice.
I think could find location under MH to place it where would be even more quite
