Spent a week scraping and removing all the old Vulkem from every inch of the RV. Resealed everything with Vulkem and also decided to roll the roof in Snow-Seal. Did it for 2 reasons: 1st it seals all the rivits very well, 2nd it has brought down the roof temps...big time!
Also added a couple new AC covers while I was at it.
I didn't like the faded yellow lens cover over the door so I made a new one.

Lost a front airbag so I ordered up some new ones and installed them. It was a much easier task than I anticipated.
Also started the polishing process and added some new wheel simulators.

Nice Job, where did you get the ( new springs ), what weight rating and part number if you have this info.

Yep, check the brakes...have them pull the tires to do so...NO, INSIST that they pull the tires...might cost you an additional $100, might save you your rig...we have Gear Vendors overdrive...good for flat driving...something painfully discovered was that driving in low gear will only work til about 3300 rpms...the tranny will 'safety' switch to 2nd gear without notice, and headed down a 7% grade around a curve towing a car is NOT when you need to learn this...and, yes, I learned it...m

I only replaced the front air bags. The springs are probably due but I left them for now.
They were Firestone Airbags. Model 4100 and I ordered them from SD Truck Springs.

Thanks. I installed new pads and had the rotors cut. I am thinking just to be safe that I might take it in and have everything checked out.
Headed out Thursday for a maiden voyage of about 1600 miles each way!

Hi. I'm very interested in the Snow-Seal you put on your roof. I looked it up and see that they have a few different products. Which one did you use and what was your decision for it? My roof is painted aluminum but heat/cold of Redding Calif has pealed half of it off. I also really like that the Snow-Seal lowers the roof temp. It was 106 in Redding last weekend. With old a/c on roof I can only get temp down to about 95 if I turn on a/c at 8am! How clean did you have to get roof before applying? Any more info or thoughts will be greatly appreciated! How does the white look from the ground? Any more pics?
Also love the flooring job you did! Looks fantastic around the step well at the door!

Sorry for the delay....been working night and day getting this thing ready for a trip. I used a product called Hengs Roof Coating. I stripped my entire coach of the clear coat and used denatured alcohol to clean it up...so my prep was different then trying to save the clearcoat. This stuff is very tacky, so I think you should get good adhesion with minimal prep. Your roof will have a nice rectangle shape up top. I taped it just outside those rivets so that I sealed the rivets as well. I ran it a little further on the awning side. Basically right up to where the awning is attached. I will get some pics in the next couple days. Trying to hit the road tomorrow but my darn generator quit working tonight. I have no spark! Maybe a coil. Was working great and then cut out and quit. Now it wont fire and it doesn't have any spark. Full of oil so it shouldn't be the low oil shut off. Hope to get fixed tomorrow.

Sometimes, the circuit breakers located on the right side of the gen when facing it are thrown...hard to see, but easily reached...m

Vulkem is the best long term solution...short term is the crack sealer from Camping World...this stuff works when it's raining...m
