Tried posting a little video of that panel but it failed...
So, here is a question...
I was wondering, and so I looked back at my thread...
One of the regulars here was a guy called "Mike Leary"... he and his wife were full timing in a 310 TD, but I looked back and he hasn't posted since 12-5-2014...
Anyone know if they are still out there???

Wasn't it Mike who had his oil/filter changed, and the shop put the filter in upside down which trashed the engine?...and I seem to remember he switched to a Land Yacht because they were full-timing and they needed something immediately?

Prepping for my day at the Motorhome.
1/ Panel fitment ready!
I did also take a look at brushed finish on the panel.... Gotta love the Eastwood SCT!

Now, to get back to a project.
Finished the Radius turning attachment, bar a knob for the handle..
So I used the tool to make a handle for itself!
Ta Da!
Now, I think I am ready to make the special bead roller Dies I need!

Just got home.
As I expected it was a combination of good and not so good.
The good was how it looks and actually my guesses were pretty close.
The panel fit the wheel arch molding, and body between the wheel arch and headlamp casting pretty well, in fact, so well that there is nothing holding them in place in the picture! Pretty lucky considering how distorted the abs panel was.
The fit is great until it passes under the headlamp casting, and then it diverges.... but the issue is not entirely my fault.
In fact, the grill, headlamp assembly and indeed the body across the front has a different plan shape to the front bumper!
I think this pic explains it....
See how the grill actually is more curved and hangs over the center of the bumper at the centerline? The bumper is a flatter curve than the body. This causes a divergent curve between the bumper and body... I just have to figure out how to hide and or compensate for it now with the wraps and center panel.
The surface that meets and goes inside the side of the bumper was great, but will need to be flatter and need a tighter radius.

The top surface where it meets the bumper matched too, but I made an error because I didn’t spot the pumper support that stops the material sliding behind. Need a work around for that.

Oh, figured out the non cranking genset... 20a fuse in the control box was blown. I replaced it and she is cranking again, but didn’t get further than that.
I did take a look for the low fuel, water in fuel, warning lamp unit that WayneG is interested in, but not sure I found it.
I did find, dangling, loose connectors, switches, wires, and other horrors that I will need to deal with before I start using this beast.

Looking good. It looks to me like your bumper has been bent. Mine was similar. You can take it off and bend the radius back into it.

My rear bumper was bent and broken off, and I welded it back together. It’s still not quite right, but ok for now.
The front one is ok and looks consistent in itself unless I missed something... the brackets that hold the bumper to the front frame have a lot of adjustment in them, so maybe what you see is in that adjustment?
I had mine front off last year to remove the horrible jacks, and while it was off I welded up some gouges and polished it. Maybe it’s tilted up or down a little?

Having the MH so far away is good for the pocket book, but bad for working on it!
I’m happy with the first fit, but there is a long way to go. I’m less worried about the other side as that abs wrap is in better shape. Getting it to be symmetrical was part of my everyday job, so less worried about that.
I have decided to move the joint line between the side and center wrap outboard a few inches to it is the same as the grill/headlamp joint. It makes sense aesthetically and practically.
There is the flange between those two to deal with...
I might also make the roll up radius a little tighter.
I am having trouble with the TiG welds cracking on the joints when I planish them out, and may change material to 3003 aluminum which is easier to work. Getting feedback from the Metalmeet forum on that one.
