1984 310 project sale price

I have a 1984 310 limited 7.4 that my family bought many years ago. It sat for many years and is showing its age and lack of use. I was used 10+ years ago as and office on home building site and upon compleation it was driven to its 10 year graveyard. We pulled this lady out last year witht the intent of working on it and making her beautiful again, We have found we just dont have the time to undertake this project. I am wondering what a project vehicle like this may be worth. It has not been run in many years. I was able to put fresh battery to it and it does turn over freely. I didnt go past this B/C i know after all this time the carb needs going over and fuel lines will likely need replacing. We would love to see someone take on this project just need to know where we should price a project like this any help or opinions would be appriciated.

It is almost impossible to say what it is worth. Not running and years of neglect will make it a real project (which you do seem to understand). Motorhomes are very complex and a 28 year old one, no matter how nice it was at one time, will be expensive to restore. Those who are in the know, understand that and will not offer you much for it. Those who are dreamers might pay you more than it is really worth, as they don't know what they would be getting into.

I can only offer this: I sold my '83 310 about 5 years ago. It was in very good condition and needed nothing as it had been well kept and maintained. I got $13,000 for it, which may sound low, but there are just not a huge number of buyers out there.

What is yours worth? All I can say is "much less". But that is my opinion.

It's a bread truck chassis under a very cool body, period.Then the fun begins. We bought Bess (diesel) for $40,000 in 1985 with 28k original. Since then, full-timing, (I've not ever added it up) I'd bet we've put another $40,000 into her. Never regretted it, though, because as I post, I can pull out of this campsite any time and hit the road, without wondering what was going to break down next. Perspective buyers of these lovely large dears should take that into consideration; no matter what sort of a deal you get, you're going to drop lots if you're going to wave at us next week in Montana.

If the 'graveyard' it rests in is a permanent location for you, you might consider parting it out...you would probably get more from parting than selling outright...it kinda bothers me to say this, as if I had the property to do so(and the $), I would be collecting these forgotten Queens...
