... you mean the one shiny bit of skin - the PO had backed into a garage or something and had it repaired last year.

I've since removed the red tape numbers for the Airpark membership.. gotta love the ease of working with the aluminum vs paint..

Wow, she is a cutie

Great find....I think your rig is in better shape than mine.....sitting around in Florida is not good for an old Airstream......we are tackling the bathroom....argh....the old gold faucets are nasty.....and they connected them directly to the fresh water tank......no easy removal.....argh......glad to know you have such a sweet motorhome...keep the photos coming....paula

Dan,,
A BEAUTY!!! This link on the forums will be a lifesaver...it has been to all of us...well, yeah, your length is an anomaly, but most requirements are to be found here, and those that aren't can be surmised, speculated, or solved with a post. Congratulations on the best (and a sometimes frustrating) purchase that will change your lives...for the better...you know, when you break down, you can't just call a tow truck, but when she runs...well...you don't need one!!! See you down the road. m

Cheers and thanks. We were just commenting last night how much we'll enjoy the more relaxed land yacht experience compared to my previous marine excursions - this 240 might break once in a while, but at least I can sleep at night not worrying that she might sink! (happened to our 40' West Coast Trawler 6 years ago)

Certainly looking forward to many hours of reading and learning.

Going to use the Toyota pick-up as the tow rig - then I can bring the Honda Fat Cat - or hang it off the back bumper for solo camp trips..

I'm wondering if you happen to know the water capacity for your 240? I had the hose going for very long time before it over-flowed. Great to find that all faucets work perfectly with hot/cold - awesome pressure also.

Thanks - Dan

I'm not really sure though we guestimated 125-150 liters when we were off grid using a 20L pail to refill. We're using it now as temp accom while our daughter is in hospital (will be fine). So nice to have our moho to retreat to and backed into an outside spot we're not taking any more space than anyone else. Water seems good for about 6-8 decent showers!

Our MH is a 1982 but Airstream didn't make the 24' in 1982.....so we have a phantom mystery rig. I ordered the service manual for the 1978 because they did make the 24' in 1978. If you find out your tank capacities, please let me know. Thanks, paula

PS: Our gas tank is 34 gal. We had to replace it...it was fouled. p

I would imagine that the 24' with rear bath would have the same equipment as the 27' with rear bath.

The fresh water tank on the 27 is under the front lounge. Not so on the 24'. The water tank on the 24 is under the rear bath closet......so don't think the capacities are the same.....maybe but I think mine are more like a 24' earlier model mh. P

updating

I've been wanting to open up the interior on this small AS since I bought it last year - the front and rear area was built with the partition and accordian door but always thought it would be better opened up.

I also removed the desk behind the passenger seat and will add a fixed lounger/day bed when the upholstery is updated.

Removed the console unit below the dash to make room for a stereo mount and painted the dash / side map pockets.

Removed all of the fabric end caps on the roof storage units.

It definately feels more roomy and has me ready to keep updating.
