1982 310b

I just became the proud owner of this fine classic

She had sat for over a year in the previous owners yard without moving.
I checked the oil, cranked her over, put a new set of front tires on and drove 250+ mile from Cranbrook to Calgary though the snowstorm yesterday.

Ran like a dream, talk about love at first ride

Added bonus, seems every bit of paperwork generated for this machine was included with sales brochures, manuals. It will take a week to go through it all

Does sound like you are off to a great start. Just keep that in mind as the challenges reveal themselves. These beasts do seem to be a labor of love.

Wondering about the b in the 310b?

Oh we do like to see pics.

Congrats!

Cheers Richard

Let the insanity begin

Actually I'm secretly jealous that Mikes got an in with the Airstream Gods...jammy little bugger.

Welcome Ruff12.

Learning the ins and outs of your coach is a very daunting thing, let alone trying to figure out how to fix it. All I can tell you is this......

At some point, some where, some one has gone through whatever problem you will face with your coach; we are here to return the help and advice that was shown us by others here at Airforums. That being said you may receive two or more different opinions. Choose the best one that works for you.

Cheers
Tony

Thanks, looking forward to playing with our new toy. Best part is will be able to use it as it was very well maintained and other than an exhaust leak, runs great.
Headers, tbi with a 480le, new cork floor for the grey shag and we are ready to roll

Well took her out for a good run, got 8.5 mpg hauling a 12' trailer loaded with an Ultra Classic.
Unfortunately something dropped into the fan and a hole in the rad.
Sucks, but it was going to need a new rad anyways, better then, than on the way to Sturgus.
List of upgrades, Edelbrock manifold, Eldelbrock 600 com carb, edelbrock high flow water pump, Elite headers, mini high torque starter,Flowpros, removed pollution equipment, Accell HEI. I tore out the wiring from the remote solenoid and wired up a panel behind the grille for easy access. Recovered the furniture, tore out the greay shag and put Lino down.
Needles to say she draws a lot of attention, and numerous offers to buy.
I will upload some pics once I figure out the privacy settings

Pictures look great. Ive never seen that bedroom configuration before. Question; do you by chance still have your old Magic Chef stove hanging around? If you do, I could sure use one of the four burner grates from the top. One of mine was broken when I got my 310. Please let me know, Ive been bird dogging one for two years now. Thank you!

I couldn't justify the cost of the Banks system, elite headers are nice, tied into my existing exhaust system and nice sounding Flowpros ,they growl Like A 454 should when I punch it. I will snorkel the intake away as I still hear the intake when I punch it. I covered the doghouse and all the carpeted area with dynamat, keeps things cooler and a lot quieter but not quiet enough.
I cut the single bed down now to give us more room in the bedroom and no problem with a full mattress
Still have the stove but will getting rid of it, sorry but not in pieces.

If anyone is looking for the original intake, exhaust etc to make their smog compliant let me know, heavy stuff to ship, but getting harder and harder to find. I don't need it in Canada
