Water damage repair

Hello,

We just purchased a 1977 28' Argosy with 63k and are beginning the restoration process. In taking out the old carpet I discovered some water damage to the floor...along the edges...behind the passenger seat...all the way back to the door. There is also a suspicious looking wet spot behind the drivers seat along the edge...behind the sofa.

The RV has been sitting for some time...so I am inclined to think that the water is not coming up from the road...but rather coming down from the windows or ?? Looking over the outside top and seams etc...it all looks fairly clean.

Any thoughts or suggestions? I am going to get busy repairing the bad sections of floor ASAP...so we can put down the new carpet. But before doing any of this I would like to fix the leaks...

Thanks in advance. I'll take some pics soon and get them up....

how bad is it?

I am a big proponent of "Get Rot"...from West Marine.... if the problem is not too bad. Stop the leaks first. Evaluate the damage them go from there. You have a Beauty...fix her and use her.
