Tow truck with a front tire carrier lift. I was seriously looking at renting a trailer but that was turning into a costly option as well so it just seemed to make sense to have a towing company get it done and over with. It was roughly a 30 mile haul.

Well....not exactly

Currently you could say I own it but the long term goal is either it gets shipped to the UK if we can find a title for it or it will be dismantled for parts. I have zero interest in owning a 2nd motorhome

Zero interest? Those rear panovision windows are sweet.

With what you've learn't on the 20' build, this 24' build should take half the time.[emoji6]

Cheers

And it only took me a fraction of a second to decide I didn't want to start another project

Hopefully a title is found - it would be a shame to see it parted out.

I'll get in first! Still on the hunt for a decent steering wheel if it is Airstream or similar.

You only have to look in the mirror to determine who's to blame.....

The seller said it sat there for around 4 years. The local neighbors said it was more like 10 years. The seller owns the land it was parked on so there would be no justification for law enforcement to tow it away.

Just thought I should provide an update on the young girl's brain tumor. She's 17 years old and had the tumor removed about two weeks after I posted my comment. Apparently for the first few days after surgery she had a rather difficult time of it. Partly because one of the night nurses made a mistake. The day nurse caught the issue and after that she recovered nicely.

The tumor was benign and it sounds like she's doing very well now. A bunch of neighbors and friends chipped in which apparently helped. He was not able to stay in DC for the operation or recovery as he had to get back to work. The young lady is back in school and enjoying life.....

Brad

South Dakota. Made it all the way to St Cloud Minnesota, albeit three hours late due to a blown tire, after hitting a piece of concrete pavement knocked up by the truck in front of me.
Found all roads leading into South Dakota are all closed due to wind, snow and ice. Trying to get in this morning.
The Airstream God's do their best to try and stop me from my quest, but the Minuet will be mine.

Cheers

For those who stumble across this thread in the future because they find themselves in a similar situation (like I did, though the immobile vehicle was a GMC)... AAA RV plans allow four up-to-100 mile tows a year, pretty much no questions asked. In other words, if you pay $195 (current plan price) for the RV AAA plan, you can get up to 400 non-consecutive miles of towing! The "Good Sam" type plans are only for emergency service and require you to break down, but the AAA plan is just point A to point B of your choosing, and they will even cover a flatbed so the vehicle isn't rolling. Good information that someone turned me onto, so I'm passing along the favor.
