Mouse poo and urine don't phase me as I've cleaned up enough of that in my own rig.

What do you figure, 45,000+ miles or 145,000+ miles? Interior looks half decent, except no pics of the most important room....the throne room.

She could be saved! When can I pick her up?

Cheers

I had to go back and reread that thread, as I had lost interest due to the initial condition of the Argosy in the pictures.

I have sent a PM to Don, and called John (who thinks I'm crazy), lots to inquire about; we shall see.

I wonder how much an Isuzu 5.2l four cylinder turbo diesel weighs?

Cheers

Did you happen to look at the expiration date on the milk jug? Might give you an idea of the earliest date it was abandoned.

Did the smell over power you when you opened the door?!

Based on the condition of the shell, bumpers, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 45k miles. This thing was parked in a National Forest so if it was parked a long time ago then low mileage would be expected.

If I get a chance next weekend I'll get a picture or two of your favorite room

I agree it could be saved, the problem is going to be figuring out how to save it!!

I'm thinking like Martin, if you're serious about getting a small Argosy for hot roddin then Don's 75 is the ideal candidate.

That thought crossed my mind but only after I was back on the road again coasting down the mountain!

Brad,
I love the "couch" in the living area instead of the "dinette" that was stock in my '75.
I'll try to find some pix of it for reference.

Hey, alert Overlander63. PM SENT

When I visited Terry and Marie a month ago Marie and I went out for a couple of drives and spotted an almost Identical one along side a road less than an hour from their home.

I will ask Marie if she can spot it again with google earth.

Paula

I tried spotting this one using google maps and it's not visible. The pull off in the road is there but no Argosy.

Ok, I couldn't resist knowing what the date was on the milk jug so I went up this morning to see if it was still there.....

Looks like it's been nine years since someone put the milk jug inside the Argosy.

Here's a few more pictures.

Did you get the VIN Brad - gotta add it to the list.

Not sure who you would put down as the owner though!

Already added it. I put it down as owned by Estill County

What surprised me is it's vin is 5315 and Tony's is 5318. The weird part is Tony's is an S (made in California) and this one is a V (made in Ohio).

I find it somewhat hard to believe that Airstream would manufacture motorhomes in two different locations. I think there has to be some other reason why an S was used in place of the V on some Argosies.
