Serpentine belt conversion
1977 24 Argosy with a 454 and my belts need attention.
Any suggestions for a serpentine conversion?
What do you generally reference when sourcing parts at the local Autozone, O'Reilly, NAPA, etc?
Thanks

I hope someone has an affordable answer. I'm considering the same upgrade. I've seen a couple 500 dollar options at summit.com but I don't really need sexy billet pulleys.

Sorry guys, but most aftermarket conversions are the sexy pulleys and bling; why would you do a conversion and not have something to show for it. Nobody thought a moho owner who can't see the front of his motor would want one.
Try this link though as it seems to answer your questions better than I could.

Serpentine belts
hey,
I had a friend, who had a one ton dually with a 454 it was a late 90s year. It had a serpentine setup . We basically got the same set up. I lol check with my son. Jake works at auto zone here, and is a phone guru. He ll find what your looking for . I ve thought of doing that too. But I don t need bill it pulleys. Women are not impressed with that kind of shiny stuff. Dj

In defence of all women gear wrenchers (not wenches), I'm sure a few of them are.
There are some pretty talented women on this site.
Cheers

If he had the same setup as us, the year and model of his dually would really be appreciated.

Aluminum pulleys aren’t going to last as long as steel. And there’s not enough benefit to justify the change otherwise.
On a toy car, why not? On a work truck, hell no.

Sorry, that's what happens when I try to post from my cell. I'm kinda occupied with several other projects, on the Argosy and otherwise.
Still looking for an affordable solution.
