Repairing/replacing sliding window gaskets on 76 argosy motor home

Hello,
My wife and I recently purchased a 1976 28' Airstream Argosy motor home. All of the window gaskets are dry rotted and they are unable to slide open and shut.
Where can I find instructions on how to remove the old gaskets and where do you recommend finding/buying replacement for them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for any help.Click image for larger version

Congratulations on your purchase.

There are several well written posts on the replacement of seals and the fuzzy schlegel channel and one specific to people doing this on Argosy's.

Please don't take this the wrong way, cause people here are friendly and always prepared to support others, but I would suggest you read all those posts and then ask any specific supplementary questions. Sometimes it is easier to search these forums using google with 'airforums' in the search terms. Just search for 'fuzzy schlegel' and it will through up lots of results.

As Nick mentioned there are a lot of posts on this subject many of which are very informative. Peter_H is probably the most recent one to have posted good details on the subject. As far as having instructions provided by Airstream they don't exist.

I'm dealing with window seals right now on Peanut (77 20' Argosy) and started with the passenger cockpit window. So far it has not been a fun experience I think mainly due to fabrication issues at the factory.

In the Classic's section of the forum there is a sticky thread and I added a listing for the window seal parts at post 122. Please not however I'm not happy with the Fin seal for the cockpit windows that I've listed. More research needs to be done to determine which Fin seal should be used.

Brad
