I'd hestiate to buy anything from someone who didn't clean it up, acted snotty when you came to see it, and generally gave you a bad vibe. There's ten problems for every one you see, and you saw several of them. Sounds like a good one to pass on, unless you're just into it for a labor of love, and enjoy doing your own work. Good eye though, keep watching, you never know where the next AS you spot will be hidden.

Since Steph chimed in I have to say this. That one on the inside looks almost as bad as the one we ought on Ebay that is our current coach.
We REALLY wanted the floor plan we have now so it was worth it, but unless you are ready to sink major money in this one don't walk, RUN and keep looking.

So sad when you see them going to rot and owner not seeming to care. Probibly didn't realize the cost involved when they got it. Hope someone with the time and means will save it.

I agree, 1000%.. so SAD!!
There are so few around, it is really a shame to know where one is and not be able to do much about it.

I was NOT looking for another unit! I drove by and the creature was staring at me. like a little warthog.
Poor thing.
But we have put so much effort, love, and a good amount of moolah into our AS, I really was NOT in the market for an Argosy.
But it's SO SAD!!!

I have seen two Argosy's recently, both parked at gas stations and looking like they were there for a loooong time. Hate to see the good old rigs going to rot.
As for windshield repair, there are places doing "long crack repair" filling them so they become near invisible and to stop them for spreading further.

Well, we're never LOOKING for one, but if one comes along like a little homeless puppy, few of us would not at least stop to look
But you never know, someone lurking on the forum might be wanting one, so I always like to report back here. Then I don't have to feel so tempted to take it home myself!

Reading the Ad...
Tiy can click on the ad picture and it will enlarge, but not really well.
The ad reads:
Airstream Argosy 28 foot Motorhome Low Miles runs great! 3495
All About Cars (815) 636 9552
I need to add, as above in this thread, it did NOT "run great" for us.. it was very hard to start and keep going, but it also been sitting for a LOOOOONNNGG time.
Let me know what happens!

Considering the condition, it probably wasn't a good price. There was another recent thread about an Argosy MOHO that was purchased for $7K in much better condition. Read about it at thread below:
