Panel Wiring '75, 20 foot Argosy

I am having a generator installed in my '75, that never had a generator, if you can believe that! Unfortunately, we cannot find where the wires from the starter switch on the inside panel terminate. Airstream, while sympathetic, was not much help. I would really like to have the starter connected to the panel, instead of somewhere else. Any help or advice is appreciated.

I found that the wiring crosses over from the panel along the roof and drops down at the dinette, where there is an access box in the wall down near the floor.

I made a post a while back with a link to download the Argosy manual. There are some writing diagrams for the coach in there but I'm not sure how helpful they would be.

Thanks for the manual. While I love my 20', the 24' is probably the only other M.H. I would really want to have. Who knows...maybe someday. But then, I have to finish working on one, before I take on another.

I think that my 24 is the perfect size for me and my wife. We haven't used it much yet but it's got almost everything we need in a comfortable space

Haven't used it much!!! Well, if you want it to be used, let me know and I'll run it up and down the East Coast for you. We are in California and take the 20' everywhere. That's the beauty of having a smaller rig. They go anywhere. You don't have to put a week of planning into a trip. You load up and go.

Feel free to run it up and down the coast! It's been sitting for a decade and I just pulled it out of its grave when I bought it last year. As long as you pay for the repairs since I got it running I've put on almost 1k miles of just going for a spin around town to find any mechanical issues. I've been very fortunate with only a chewed up alternator belt

I rescued my 20' from Michigan last year. I drove it back to California. It didn't give out 'till Albuquerque. I replaced the fuel pump, fuel lines and mufflers.

Then, when I got to CA, I put in a generator...it didn't have one, new Penguin AC/heater, shocks, water heater, rebuilt the carb, changed plugs and wires, beaded the gas tank and sealed it, rebuilt the power steering, dash air and heater, repainted the stripe outside and rebuilt the interior water system and sewage drain systems.

I still need to replace the furnace and flooring, and put in new curtains. These things are great projects of love. The worst thing you can do to them, is let them sit.
